I had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Raft at Wild and Free in Christchurch. The burger was simply outstanding – juicy, full of flavor, and topped with an incredible sauce that made it unforgettable. Everything was perfectly prepared. The service was equally impressive – the staff were so friendly, helpful, attentive, and wonderfully communicative, which really made me feel welcome. The atmosphere was unbeatable: sitting outside in the beautiful garden, enjoying the sunshine with a stunning view of the old castle, made the whole experience even more special. I will definitely be back – thank you so much for such a memorable visit!

We visited this restaurant for a quick lunch and had Persian tea, a halloumi, hummus and fig jam wrap and a falafel, hummus and chilli jam wrap. All very tasty and freshly prepared. Very friendly welcome as you'd expect from a family run place. The little garden at the rear is fun and colourful with a view of Christchurch castle. They also do Persian themed evening dinners and with Persian heritage I would expect it to be good.

A lovely little café with a great vibe ("cool vibes only" don't forget!). A lot of care and attention has been put into this place, especially the food. Service is excellent and the owner is really friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and great value for money. The café is dog friendly.

We were in Christchurch for a weekend, a week or so ago, and had breakfast here on the Saturday morning.

We have a dog and she was warmly welcomed, as were we. Felt at home. The Raft was empty when we first came in, which can be a bad sign, but within a few minutes it was bursting (so good timing on our part).

The breakfast was really good, although if I was being slightly critical and the sausages weren't quite as good as everything else on the plate, and the coffees were great (funny how so many coffee places get coffee very wrong - not here!).

They accommodated our requests for slight changes to the breakfast (another thing some places don't do which puts me off a restaurant) and they even cooked us up some scrambled eggs for our dog, who doesn't like to miss out!! We were very happy with the service.

We liked it so much that we had breakfast there on the Sunday morning as well.

If we're ever in Christchurch again we will definitely be in for breakfast and a...

Wild and Free was a delightful mood setting for a restaurant/cafe. The owner was polite and had a bubbly attitude. Her young colleague "chef" made 2 meals, a carnivore meal for my mother and a scrumptious vegan meal for myself. However, as the day drew to an end, my mother and I received a ghastly expression from the young lady before we vacated the premises? It was uncalled for, she needs to learn more than just manors and etiquette. Sadly, my mother suffers from alzheimer's and in tune the conversations that took place that day might of given the young lady a perplexed thought but to actually deliver a ghastly look before we made haste was unequivocal...
