Lovely atmosphere! Food was nice! Staff are very busy and helpful! First time we was served, the cod and chips dish was not up to standards, but was quickly rectified with a different dish on the menu and was very satisfied! Second visit we ordered the same Chicken Wings and Chips dish after trying to order the recommended dish of the day which was Curry Dishes, as several attempts to order online was saying that the Curry Dishes was finished but when we spoke to one of the Staff they said there was plenty in the kitchen! Clear error on the online site! Toilet was a trek from the restaurant area, hard work for those with any difficulty in their mobility, as we did witness several people struggling going up and down the stairs leading to the restroom area as we was seated next to the stairs! Not sure if these persons were aware of any other disabled toilet access!

I’m so disappointed that on an incredibly hot day we chose to sit at the front of this establishment with our dog to enjoy some food. I understand dogs are not welcome inside or their pub gardens but to be turned away from open seating on the public footpath in front is very shameful. The seating is clearly in public space and my 14 year old dog on a short lead was tucked under the table for shade. We were told by a very embarrassed member of staff it is Wetherspoons policy to not allow animals in any of their pubs but as stated we were not inside or in any private space so feel very aggrieved that we could not get ourselves a drink. I attach a photo for reference as to how the seating is on the open pavement, not sectioned off

Absolutely horrendous customer service. I have never been so embarrassed!!! If I could leave negative stars, I would...

I was unaware that under 18's were not allowed in after 9.30pm even if we were ordering food. After a gruelling 9.5 hour drive from Manchester, I had called ahead and asked what time the establishment served food until. I was advised 11pm. (To be clear and in the call handlers defence, I did not advise that my daughter was 14 years old).

We arrived and sat at table 77 which was in the furthest corner of the pub in a quiet section (away from the drinking only patrons) I ordered food and non alcoholic drinks for both of us, using the app, which I had to install and set up on my phone. My daughter and I had been in the pub for 20 minutes by the time I had managed to order our dinner.

As our drinks were delivered 30 minutes after we had originally arrived, the service staff member leaned across our table and directly asked my 14 year old daughter for ID - in such a loud volume that you would have thought they were on stage delivering a monologue - I advised them that clearly, my child was underage and that no alcohol was ordered and we just wanted to eat after a very tiring drive from up north.

This person continued (in a clearly audible and increasingly booming voice, so that everyone in the vicinity could hear) that they did not serve under 18's and that they would have to speak to the shift manager. The member of staff took our drinks away with them and left. This staff member returned 4-5 mins later and advised that they could not serve us and would either give me my money back or we could wait outside on the street whilst our food was put into "doggy bags"

I asked the server for a refund. I then spoke to the shift manager and retold the encounter we had with the person serving us. The shift manager was so blatantly rude about the service we had received and showed no empathy or apology. She advised me that "children" were not allowed in the building after a certain time and that they would not usually refund an order placed on the app however, they were prepared to do it this once. I tried to explain how mortified we both were and how embarrassing this exchange had been but, the shift manager showed very little empathy and advised again that they would refund the bill. She actually presented in an incredibly negative and short tempered manner!

I do not live in this area but I can assure you that I will never return to this establishment ever again.

A tiny amount of decorum, manners or even an inkling of customer service from the waiting on staff or the manager, could have prevented me from leaving a negative review.

I now know that under 18s are not allowed in these restaurants after 10pm, even when just ordering food, and will visit the local takeaways if this situation ever...

Me and my friends have come here fairly often. This is because the food and drink are for the most part very good, the atmosphere is great and the servers are very friendly. But unfortunately, today we believe that must come to an end due to an incident that happened today with your manager.

To preface this, I would like to provide you with some context.

When we arrived at our table, there were tons of empty glasses present, left there by the previous customers, of which we had to clear ourselves (this is not where the issue arises. we understand staff have a lot to deal with so we are happy to help out). Due to this, our table was wrongfully locked from ordering any more drinks. Not knowing our table was locked, we ordered a ton of food and drinks which never came. Admittedly, one of my friends accidentally ordered to table 74 instead of 73, so we understand that, initially, that would look pretty sketchy to the manager (it probably looked like we were trying to circumvent the issue of not being able to buy more alcohol)

After bringing this to the attention of staff multiple times, the manager came to our table and (without the knowledge of the context of the situation) told us they would not serve us any further nor refund us. We would have fully understood his decision to kick us out, under the premise that we genuinely were in the wrong. But, as I have explained here, we weren’t, and your manager wouldn’t allow us to get a single word in edgewise to explain the situation to him. As soon as he arrived at our table, right off the bat, we were met with anger, ignorance and complete unwillingness to hear us out (probably because we’re teenagers and teenagers unfortunately have a bad rep for these type of things)

Eventually, we got refunded, so that is good atleast, but this experience most certainly has left a bad taste in our mouths.

To wrap this up: great food, great service from staff, great atmosphere, BAD and unprofessional management. We suggest that if you want to improve your customer experience, that next time, the manager adopts a more calm and collected attitude and allows people to make their case (as opposed to adopting an aggressive demeanour right from the get-go). What happened to innocent until...

Arrived late pm for a snack type meal .The pub was busier than we expected. 2 local customers jumped up and gave us their table for 6 as there were 8 of us. They sat in a smaller table that was a bit squashy to be honest. It was extremely kind of them.3 of us got a small table nearby. Later removed a 4 table on the end of the 6 table to be seated together. The food arrived hot and tasty and fast . We chose 9 of the small plates( 3 lots of 3 ). It was super Then my daughter tried to move her chair closer to be able to eat easier. The chair seat flew away from the bottom of the chair and a staple went through her finger. We asked the waitress for a first aider. A guy arrived called Ashley (?). He was kind and helpful. He dressed her finger and took details for an accident form. We hope that the finger will be ok. We were a little disappointed that no Manager came to see us. No one offered us a free drink (?). It was their chair after all. I felt someone in charge should have at least come across to view the damage. Ashley told us to enjoy the...
