Firstly I would like to say this is not down to the floor staff, but down to the awful organisation.

Myself and my girlfriend took 50 minutes to receive our first ordered drink which is silly. We complained and it still took another 20 minutes.

Secondly, it isn't clear which members of staff are responsible for what, I asked if I could order food from one, they're reply 'not from me' but they're all dressed the same and appear to do the same. Furthermore, it's clear they are unaware of the table numbers, we watched several orders walk around before getting to their correct destination.

Finall the toilets are in a completely impractical location - the bar owners should have portable toilets ready for use rather than have guests trek to the Principal Hotel's conference toilets. And there was a constant huge queue, lots of empty seats and nobody clearing tables to allow potential customers to sit down.

Again I want to stress, the stuff were lovely, and apologetic, I really hope this review is listened to by management and those in charge, as they are the incompetent ones. I'm not sure what's happening with this company quite clearly an amateur setup as myself and my wife are staying at the principal hotel in York. Arrived Garden looked great big tent lots of outdoor seating says open 12pm-11pm thought great sat had a drink 17th july Sunday evening then went in to town for a meal came back just after 10pm oh unfortunately we are closed still few people sitting outside asked why it says closed at 11pm and your already closed the reply was as that's the decision that's been made so that was that. Nice place, great in the sun. Should be 5 stars but terrible staff not thinking about their customers or even the planet.

We left a bag of food behind when going to the toilet. 5 mins maximumwe were gone, we came back to pick up our food. The table we were sat at was cleared away and our bag of food gone.

We asked if they had it behind the bar, apparently it 'wasn't handed in'. I explained it wouldn't have been, its a brown bag of food, its likely your staff threw it in the bin without checking when clearing away the table.

Disgraceful, can't even check or leave customers belongings 5 minutes before throwing the in the bin.

I'm beyond upset and angry. So many are going hungry at the moment and yet someone who works here thought it OK to throw a customers good food In the bin within 5 minutes of them leaving and returning to collect.
