Bambu Beach Bar — Restaurant in Great Britain

As a group of friends and family we booked a karaoke booth to celebrate 2 special birthdays, an 18th & 40th. Upon arrival, the security people on the door would not accept any form of ID for the 18 year old within our group other than a driving licence (which we did not have as they do not drive and aren't currently learning). After explaining to them several times by his mother and God mother, a very rude lady on the door told the God mother that she has no right to be involved in the conversation as she was not his real mother!! She reluctantly let us in eventually but said he would not be served alcohol. The room was grotty and small, all the pre-ordered drinks were brought in simultaneously by the host. The empties were not collected meaning the very small tables were overflowing with glasses. Being a party of 20, it did feel cramped with the lack of space. The microphones were really low in volume, had to practically scream into them to be heard singing. It was a massive let down for the money paid to hire the room. I'd give it zero stars but apparently you have to give at least one. We found ourseleves at bambu last night after receiving some vouchers outside for 2 for 1 cocktails utill 11pm and vouchers for 1 pound entry and a free shot. We get in at 5 past 10 and after a few min's looking at the cocktail list the bar the bartender says sorry the offer ends at 9 and you have to buy a drink before you can use the free shot voucher. We questioned this and the bartender said she would ask her manager who then came over and also said it ended at 9pm but was oly available to club card owners utill 11, which it doesn't state, so why are they giving out flyers which state other wise? We decide sod it and order drinks anyway, I order my girlfriend what I can honestly say is the worst smelling and tasting cocktail I have ever had. First and last...

We held our daughters 13th birthday party at Bambu Beach Bar Swansea on 12.05.24. We cannot thank them enough, they made this event truly magical. We booked it back in January, the communication has been fanatic, answering all my query’s within the same day, along with checking details of the party to avoid any mishaps. The venue is spotless and perfectly decorated, the D.J was fantastic and a huge huge hit, the food delicious and plentiful. The gentleman in charge of the bar area made the best cocktails and mocktails, nothing was too much for him, he was happy, friendly and treated us all like royalty.
