A Great Day Out Activity!

I visited the Zip last year between lockdowns. It was a sunny weekend day, so it was fairly busy, I think due to the fact people were enjoying having a tiny bit of normality in the world.

The staff were fantastic and very accommodating with me and my friend who visited, all super enthusiastic which made it feel like a more exciting experience. Tickets were reasonably priced considering the effort and care put into the whole operation. (You are kitted up and given a full safety briefing before riding!) then taken to the tower 25m or so above ground. The zip is the longest on the south coast so we were really giddy for the 300m stretch. It’s fairly quick but gives you a fun adrenaline kick either way!

The best thing about it was being able to simultaneously ride together! Duel riding. It made it 10x better being able to do the zip together instead of one by one. Over all a fantastic experience with no better view than the sea one side and city the other; you travel to the bottom of the beach. We opted in for the video you can get taken of you which we are happy with!

We stayed for some sunset deluxe hot chocolates after riding and over all had a great experience. 5* thumbs...

A deeply unpleasant experience – avoid this place.

We were completely misled on arrival by a polite and seemingly helpful woman who told us we could pay with cash via the app. Encouraged by this friendliness and clarity, we went upstairs and placed our order in good faith.

Then the mood shifted dramatically.

A man—presumably a member of staff—came over and completely contradicted the woman downstairs, stating bluntly that cash payment wasn’t possible. That in itself would’ve been fine—miscommunication happens—but what followed was astonishingly rude and aggressive.

When we explained what we’d been told, he snapped: “What would make you think that would be possible?” Not only was this unnecessarily confrontational, but the sarcastic tone and hostility left us stunned. The entire exchange reeked of arrogance and disdain for customers.

The whole experience was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Do yourself a favour: steer well clear of this place. There are plenty of other venues where basic manners and communication...

planned to get a quick snack around 2-3 pm, prices werent too bad but on the more expensive side but was one of the cheapest places to eat, waited 45 minutes and no food came although people that ordered less than 20 mins before got theirs, so asked where food was and waited another 10 minutes before the woman came back to find the order hadnt gone through properly but it had still charged, manager came another 10 minutes later being semi-apologetic and said that we would have to wait another 30 minutes for food since it was starting to get much busier so decided to get a refund which took another 10 minutes

decided to ride the zipwire instead, had really good prices especially since it was at the pier, staff that helped us with equipment werent very helpful and just expected us to know how to do everything, when went up to the top of the zipwire, staff were much more helpful, they bring the whole rating up, was a good zipwire and not too short, would...
