This place used to be my favourite burger establishment but I've not been there since last summer. There's so many better options in town that actually provide friendly customer service and good burgers. Last time I placed an order from burger brothers I ordered for delivery and they were obviously busy, the guy on the phone started the call saying "your card was declined I already told you stop calling". At that point I hadn't even tried to place an order or even spoke with them. I explained this to the guy on the phone, he reluctantly took my word and starting taking my order, halfway through the first burger order he puts the phone down on me saying "hold on bruv", he leaves me on hold for 10 minutes and then after 10 boring minutes of listening to a dead line he picked the phone back up and said "sorry blah blah its busy". I asked the guy on the phone if I should order elsewhere because of how busy it apparently was and that he had taken 10 mins to start taking my order. He responded saying "hold on bruv I've got another order"... So I wait another 15 mins for him to pick the phone back up(i bigged up their burgers to my friend who wanted to try it for the first time, this is the only reason I stayed hopeful) this made a total time of 25 minutes on hold. So he picks the phone back up and is FINALLY ready to take my order after 25 minutes of messing me around. So I go ahead and give him the order (3x burgers, 3x milkshakes), he doesn't seem like he is paying any attention to my order and is very blasé when taking the order from me. So we finally got passed the placing your order stage after waiting for a long time. He asked me for my card details, everything seems perfectly normal.. I give him the details and then within 0.00001 seconds(not even enough time for Bill gates or Steve jobs to process it) he says "card declined" and just hangs up on me. So i call them back up straight away as i have other cards i can pay with, as do my friends. The guy on the phone totally ignored what i said and kept repeating "card declined i told you" and then hung up. I tried calling back again and he hung up on me(now I know why he opened the call telling me my card was declined, he had obviously just done the same thing to the customer before me). Hands down the WORST service ive received anywhere in my life. Its quite obvious the guy on the phone was trying to keep face in front of the in store customers by blagging that my card was declined so they dont look like theyre turning down business over the phone when it's busy. He wasted 45 minutes of my life for no reason apart from the fact they wanted to keep some credibility in front of their customers. He could have easily told me that it was too busy for deliveries that night and to call back tomorrow, it would have been fine. Because of the way i was treated I've totally lost trust in burger brothers and i wont ever go back there or recommend them again. They've lost themself a loyal customer. Bad service = bad food, no matter how "good" the food is...

The quality of the ingredients was superb and the bun blew me away. I generally find burger buns to be too 'bready' but these were subtle yet tasty in their own right. The special glaze was a nice touch, too. ;)
I came across this place by surprise and tried two items from their menu.
Simple Jack - I'm not a fan of salad so I appreciated having a bare-bones burger without having to pay for unwanted extras. I thought five pounds represented very good value to taste a gorgeous patty with the minimum of fuss.
Bennetton Burger - This was another delicious meal thanks to some top-notch ingredients that were well cooked and worked very well together. It wasn't cheap at £8.50 but the quality shone through. I can't imagine a more expensive 'gourmet' burger tasting any better.
In addition to the great food, there other little touches too like toothpicks with the meal, hand sanitiser available by the counter and personal photos on the wall. Simple but appreciated.
Finally, the two owners are very friendly and likeable, offering great service that is not usually found in similar shops. I hope they continue with their high standard and enthusiasm.
A 'must visit' for Brighton residents and...
Read moreWell now, I am disappointed I didn't see these guys earlier than today. I was on my way to 5 guys to get a peanut butter milkshake and fries, 5 guys burgers are ok but just fall apart. Glad I stopped by, the standard burger was sensational, the best I've tasted. It was a juicy, tasty and thick burger and hit all the right notes with the sweet beef blood running into but not ruining the toasted sesame bun.
The cheese was melted to perfection and compliments the beef.
The chilli sauce for £1 extra is worth it, it has depth of flavour beyond most and compliments the beef unlike most.
The pickle on the side was intriguing as it was more subtle tn most. It also has a decent thickness and the extra crunch that brings.
The fries (skin on) were tasty and crispy with the fluffy white interior that keeps you reaching for them, 2nd only to 5 guys who use peanut oil.
Extra friendly service who I could talk burgers with.
The atmosphere was crazy good as I was the only person in there!
£16 for burger, fries and can of pop. Well worth it.
Disclaimer: I'm a 50yo burger head. I have read burgernomics and have lived in the USA so I know my burgers although I haven't been to those fancy burger joints in NYC yet. I still yearn for the American corn fed beef burgers of my youth but live...
