This restaurant is pathetic and owner Mr kamal is awful.I visited bournmouth beach with my family and friends to celebrate my bday .we ordered biryani from chaat junction which was in offer Buy one get one free with such a high price for one biryani £16.99/box. We ordered 10 boxes in total and paid huge price. We thought of good quantity and taste for such pricy biryani but when order was delivered through uber eat it was so embarrassing for me and my family in front of my friends as biryani boxes was quarter portion of what usually serve in other reastaurant and was way super spicy that seems to be just masala without any rice.when we called back employer was not present and pass the number to talk to him. When I called Mr Kamal the employer he was awful on phone and said because it was in offer so we reduced the quantity . What does that mean with Buy one get one offer then? Their was no answer and he said return back and talk to Uber Eats for refund and reluctant to pick biryani by themselves. I had to go and drop all 10 birtani boxes at their reastaurant and that time as well owner was not present . The employee who was working there I asked her to taste biryani what they had send us .She tasted and accepted biryani to be super spicy and not eatable. I click the photos of biryani returned back and now have been chasing for my refund through Uber Eats which is hassle My Bday was spoiled and it was so...
Read moreWhile visiting Bournemouth for my mother-in-law’s birthday, I wanted to find a fully vegetarian restaurant for my strict vegetarian in-laws. I came across Chaat Junction, spoke to the owner Kamal, and decided to give it a try.
The restaurant was poorly maintained with limited seating, unpacked boxes, and hygiene concerns. The food was mostly pre-made, served on paper plates, and tasted more like homemade meals than restaurant-quality dishes.
Kamal’s aggressive attitude made the experience worse—he snapped at my father-in-law for taking medicine with bottled water, forced customers to leave five-star reviews.
The veg biryani was the biggest disappointment—just boiled rice with spices and a half split lemon on top, nowhere close to actual biryani. The Gujarati dal was watery and was a lentil water than anywhere being a dal.
Way over priced for the service and the owner is pathetically mannered and there is no personal hygiene. I think the only reason for the restaurants existence is that it is vegetarian and all vegetarian Indians (sorry) will get attracted to it. From ambience, to space to mannerisms all distasteful.
Overall, the food, service, hygiene, and attitude were awful. I paid over £100 for a meal not worth £40. Bournemouth Council should inspect this place, as it does not meet basic hospitality standards. Avoid at all costs!! Spoilt my mum in laws...
Read moreI love Chaat Junction. It is by far my favorite place near me, mainly because of its unbeatable location on Old Christchurch Road. This location makes it incredibly easy for me to get there fast, whether I'm walking or driving, and the service is always quick and friendly, which is a huge plus for me. The food? Absolutely amazing! It’s truly to die for, and I can’t get enough of it every time I go.
I don’t have a photo of the place, so I just snapped a quick shot of the outside, but even without a picture, this place is massive—it’s a spacious restaurant with plenty of seating, and no matter how busy it gets, I never feel cramped. The overall vibe is welcoming, and even though the place is large, it still manages to keep a cozy, laid-back atmosphere. There’s a certain low hum of chatter that makes it feel warm and inviting without ever getting overwhelming. It’s the perfect place to have a relaxed meal with friends or family.
Sometimes, the crowd in the restaurant tends to taper off as the evening progresses, especially during the quieter hours when things slow down. But regardless of how many people are there, the quality of the food never fades. Whether it's a busy Saturday night or a more peaceful weekday, every dish is just as fresh and flavorful as the last. They take pride in their food, and it...
