Cuban Pete's — Restaurant in Great Britain

Our first point of contact was the doorman, a very friendly and upbeat chap despite the fact he was stood outside in rain so bad that Noah was docked in the marina. The first waiter to serve us was brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable on both the food and drinks menu, couldnt fault him. The food and drink itself was decent enough, however when two of our party ordered a brownie It arrived at room temperature, no big deal but they politely requested it was warmed up, the reaction this got from the miserable waitress was genuinely shocking; our table of six just looked at each other in bemusement at the attitude displayed. She said nothing, not a word, just sort of gave us a disgusted look and rolled her eyes like a teenager thats been asked to wash the pots. When she returned with the reluctantly warmed desserts she may as well have kicked it at us the way she plonked it down, clearly furious, again not muttering a single word or making eye contact, she was turning to walk away before the plates had even bounced off the table. I dont think i can describe it as anything other than genuinely shocking. I dont expect over the top friendly service and everyone's entitled to a bad day but this was something different, it felt personal like she was specifically angry at our group who before this point she hasn't even interacted with. We were served by 4 member of staff over the course of our evening and 3 of them were faultless but this petulant child unfortunately overshadowed their brilliant service with her stinking attitude, to the point we felt strongly enough to approach the other members of staff personally to hand them a tip and insist she wasnt to see a...

Myself, my partner and our friend usually go out together once a month as a treat, and this month we decided to try Cuban Pete’s. We were really excited, but that was soon cut short. Upon arrival our order was taken quickly and drinks were fine. The food is where it starts to go downhill. The steak tacos were nice according to my partner and friend however the portion sizes were not compatible to the price. £12 for 2 tiny tacos with about 2 slithers of steak is not what you’d expect. The nachos were okay, I don’t think you can screw up nachos. I ordered the enchiladas and was looking forward to it. It came out and it was a singular, small enchilada, again for £12, not what you’d want. I opted for the beef and I wish I hadn’t, but the only other option was vegan brisket. The beef itself was extremely dry and everything else within the enchilada was flavourless. I asked for some cheese sauce or salsa just to try and add some flavour and make it less dry, to which I was told yes but we will have to charge you for it. No apology for the enchilada being dry and flavourless. The service wasn’t the best either. One gent with glasses was on top of clearing our table and keeping us topped up with drinks, however he seemed to go on his break or was busy with something else towards the end of our meal, the other gent on the floor made no effort to clear our table or engage with us or check back on our food. We had to wait until the other gent came back off of his break to be sorted out. Overall would not recommend, really upset that we spent £80 here. We did raise our issues to the server but we were just told the kitchen had been informed and they would change stuff...

Called in while shopping as an out of town visitor. At the time was with my Son, Daughter in law and my new born grandson. So as you can imagine, not part of a rowdy stag party. We were refused entry by the door staff and told to sit outside, probably because we had the pram with us. I then asked if I could go into the bar and see what the selection was and the member of doorstaff stood in front of me stopping me and said that she would bring me a menu out. Still not sure why we were been treated in such an I'll mannered, rude and passively aggressive manner we took seats outside and were ignored by staff for 20 minutes before eventually being asked if we wanted to order. The drinks were expensive and of low quality the overall environment is unwelcoming. The atmosphere of the bar is pretentious and the staff arrogant and rude. I will not be returning and I could not recommend this bar to anyone. Please consider where you would like to spend your time as there are so many good bars nearby where you would likely be treated...
