G5 Deli — Restaurant in Great Britain

I won’t be forgetting this place any time soon! Lovely cosy place with patient, friendly staff. They told us the chicken was halal, so we had breakfast there (2 adults and 2 kids) and also took some sandwiches for a picnic lunch.

Being a bookworm, I chose to sit in a corner by the bookshelf. Started reading one of the books, and it was so interesting I decided to buy it. I asked at the counter and was told to keep it.. for free! When I asked if they were sure (it was a hardback and looked new), another staff member came up and said that we love reading so much, that we don’t mind.. and that I could pass on the book to someone else when I was done with it. Being rather selfish with my books, this act of generosity really touched me. I can’t wait to pass it onto someone else. Will definitely go back next time we...

Customer Service was very average as the lady that was working there at the time, didn't even acknowledge me for 10 minutes before greeting me. Once I made my order and received my meal. Everything went quite smoothly until my stomach started making all kind on noises when I got home 2 hours later. Going back and forth to the bathroom and I realize I must have gotten some kind of food poisoning from the Deli. So the next morning I called in to file a complaint and all I got from the manager was insults as he didn't believe that I got food poisoning from his Deli. Never going back there again! And wouldn't advise anyone to go there unless you want to clear out your stomach...

Would not recommend. Poor service and overpriced. Although you pay 30pp more for most items to sit it, the door was open in a cold snowy day and inside was freezing as well, so what's the difference? The service was pretty poor. I ordered a late with gingerbread syrup, however, the syrup made the coffee taste really bad. It tasted a bit mouldy. What I found ridiculous is that when I took the coffee to the counter and told them about it, two ladies reassured me that the syrup was new, and that the coffee was actually fine without offering to make a new one or any other...
