We visited Manahatta on Monday for bottomless brunch as part of a hen party. The place we had booked originally for bottomless brunch cancelled our booking 1 hour before we were due to arrive, which as you can imagine, was quite stressful as there was 17 of us! We contacted Manahatta and straight away they were super empathetic and supportive, they agreed to facilitate bottomless brunch for all 17 of us with an hours notice, they were super accommodating and if I'm honest, we had a better time there than we would have had at the original place so we were all so pleased they cancelled our booking. The food as part of the bottomless brunch was amazing! We were checked on during our visit to ensure none of us were sitting with an empty glass. Overall, one of the best bottomless brunches I've ever been too! I 100% will be back and I'll also be recommending Manahatta York to anyone else looking for a good place for food, drinks and all around fun vibe!

I have been here a few times while out in York, I always find Manahatta quite expensive for what you get really so i dont tend to go in unless there is an offer on. I came here with friends recently for brunch. The brunch was pretty good, we got lots of drinks in the 90 minutes and the staff were really good topping us up, especially if you got the prosecco as there was always staff members walking around with a bottle to top your drinks up. The staff were also really friendly and made the experience more fun. The food was really good but it was a small portion for me, I've been to a lot of brunches and you normally get a little bit more but i can't complain about the food itself as it was really good (I just wish there was more!) Over all for £30 I would defo come back for another brunch!

What an awesome place. The restaurant is a huge converted church. So much space but the only problem was that it was really noisy! The staff were incredibly attentive (thankyou Emily!). They kept the Prosecco & cocktails flowing! Unfortunately the portions of food were tiny! (The food was NOT bottomless!). So, if you don't have the alcohol then it becomes really poor value for money at £30-£35 depending on your choice of meal. Luckily I was more than capable of drinking my money's worth! X 😛

Some serious training needed on allergens. We came last night for bottomless party. The organisation was terrible to begin with. The system wouldn’t let me remove the pre orders of incorrect items so in April I sent over a list of the 13 pre orders - I got a reply and was told the balance which I paid for. The day before I got an email reminder to say the booking was for 11 people. I emailed to say this wasn’t correct and showed order and confirmation. Didn’t receive a reply. On arrival they were told we only had a booking for 11 people. I showed all the emails and they took a photo. The staff were very moody and I felt like we were an inconvenience. When the order came there were STILL despite the photo being taken of the order food missing. I chased twice and was told the food was on it’s way. I didn’t receive my food for about 25 minutes after everyone else. The main issue was there was a huge mistake made with our GF party member. She was served a vegetarian caesar salad with croutons and when questions the staff were arguing that the gluten free option was the veg option despite us ordering chicken. This is dangerous and our friend who is a head chef herself asked the speak to the kitchen. They then came back to say they couldn’t produce a ceaser salad without the croutons which made no sense and that there wasn’t a GF option available. After some arguing back and forth a chicken salad was given with no croutons. I’m actually shocked to see other reviews recently with a similar problem this has to be addressed! We then received a bill at the end with an additional £104 which I refused to pay because it should have been prepaid as per the invoices I’d received. Very strange staff and management and a disappointment compared to...

IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES, DO NOT GO HERE!

Myself and five friends attended a Bottomless brunch.

I ordered a gluten free beef melt, mine was the first to arrive with two sticks in and the waitress said gluten free. I then asked is this definitely gluten free to which she told me yes.

I started to eat the sandwich and looked around to realise the others who had the beef melt had what looked like exactly the same bread. I asked a waiter if it was definitely gluten free, he took it to the kitchen, brought it back and confirmed it was safe to eat. A few minutes later he brought out a packet of gluten free bread, shoved it in my face and said look. I therefore continued to eat the sandwich. He then came back and said the kitchen are recalling your sandwich, we do not know if it’s gluten free or not.

I waited 15 minutes, and then had to go and find the waiter to find out what was happening. To which he responded, we aren’t sure if it was gluten free so we are just making you another one.

This is absolutely inexcusable, I have coeliac disease, which was stated on the booking and I was given bread that has triggered an automimmune reaction and meant I had to go straight home after the food due to symptoms such as sickness and diarahoea.

Cameron the manager did offer me the rest of my meal for free, but I had already paid £15 deposit, so I paid £15 for food that’s made me extremely unwell.

I do not think you should offer gluten free food if kitchen staff are not trained properly in something so serious. Had this been a nut allergy, I could be dead.

I have also contacted coeliac Uk...

1 star as unable to leave review otherwise. Very disappointed by the whole evening here. We booked a table for 8 people for 7pm to celebrate a friends birthday . We arrived slightly early as we only had a 2 hour slot.... at 7.15 we were finally shown our small booth hidden round a corner more suitable for a party of 6 people at most. Food order was eventually taken but on arrival it was cold but we were all hungry so we just ate it also no-one to check if things were ok with us.. We then had to go find someone to take our dessert order and when that arrived it was dumped on the table and we had to pass it around. After a while we decided it was best to ask for the bill , we sat waiting patiently for it to arrive which it didn't so we asked a further 3 times and was told the til had crashed and they were sorting it... yet they chose not to let us know this at the start. After waiting 25 min we said we would wait another 5 mins then we had to go to which they said they were sorting it ( we had already heard this before) we then got up to leave after asking numerous times for the bill at this point 3 members of staff approached us saying they would call the police if we left to which I replied call the police as we are not staying prisoners because they can't sort themselves out . We asked them to work the bill out as we all knew what we had ordered but that was too much to ask then finally they produces the bill.... what a joke, they threaten us with the police because of their incompetence ....
