⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Honest Review of “off The Hook “– Brighton (Halal)

I recently visited On The Hook in Brighton with my family, and honestly, it was a great experience – especially considering the price and the fact that it’s halal!

We ordered quite a bit: • 1 Cheeseburger • 2 Chicken Burgers • 2 Portions of 3 Chicken Wings and chips • 1 Fish & Chips

All of this came to £38.50, which is value for a family meal out.

Food: • The wings were very tasty well seasoned with a nice bite. Slightly on the oily side, but still really enjoyable and served hot to the table.

• The fish was flavourful, fresh, and had a nice crispy batter. For the price, it was more than decent great portion too. • The chicken burgers were a hit with the kids. Juicy, nicely cooked, and well put together. • The cheeseburger was basic but satisfying nothing fancy, just a solid classic burger that did the job. • The chips were standard but went well with the rest of the meal.

Service: Customer service was polite and efficient. Our food was brought to the table without much delay, and the staff were welcoming and friendly.

Overall: For the price, the quality of food, and the fact that everything is halal you really can’t go wrong. It’s a casual spot, great for families or anyone looking for a quick, tasty meal in Brighton without breaking the bank.

I would have attached a picture but I literally ate the food before I could take one, I was THAT good. Located right in front of the beach, 10 or 15 min walk from the station in brighton, Of The Hook had some of the best fish and chips I have ever tried. Not excessively greasy, very generous portions and , for the muslims, entirely HALAL. Battered Sausages, chicken burger, wings all halal.

It's no michelin star restaurant but if you want an excellent fish and chips, right by the sea it is perfect. They have seating as well but you may choose to go through the underpass right to the beach in a couple mins from the restaurant.

Decently priced as well for what your getting, It's the perfect portion, enough to fill you up but not too much to be overwhelming. Definitely check this place out if you are going to the seafront towards the marina side or if you are going to brighton pier as its just 5 mins away from there. Drove from London to try out and support the Halal business but unfortunately they sell Alcoholic drinks which they seem to hide very well on social media. So its actually NOT HALAL. Very deceptive.

The in-person experience was very different from what’s shown online. The customer service felt impersonal — I honestly think I would have received better service from a self-serve kiosk. Despite the place being quiet with no queue, I felt rushed to place my order. After ordering, a receipt was abruptly placed on the counter with instructions to wait off to the side, which was dismissive.
