To me, this is the peak of the modern gyros. This is my weekly go-to after band practise - they load up your gyros so with much meat and chips that I (almost) feel undercharged, and the price has stayed good for years. Guaranteed well-fed after every meal, a solid greasy wrap of pure happiness. By preference I get pork, but the chickeb is also great.
Drinks options are more limited, and given how heavy and fragrant the meal can get that's a shame - drinks are small and overpriced cans mostly.
Service is quick, no-nonsense, and friendly. I know nobody's names, but their faces are always welcoming.
Atmosphere is a bit more involved than your typical fast food fare, it's a bit comfier and more homely than normal but still has that quick in-and-out feel to it. Always has music on, which can make the short wait more textured.
4/5 overall, just what I want from a place like this, but with poor...
Read moreI had tried to make a menu bespoke to my liking and after 10 minutes of negotiation with staff we came up with a agreed menu to be served for my requirements. After being served for a combination of menus combined together and paying £18 collectively. I was being served more chips than any other part of the food. I had requested some more chicken gyro, chicken kebab. The owner wanted to charge me £6 additional just for the chicken kebab only small portion. Additionally, they wanted to charge me extra for the humus sauce . When I had refused to accept this as I felt it was extortionate, I did not receive the same service from staff and the owners. I left the place in the most disappointed Experience. I would not be going there ever again and most...
Read moreI’ve had a chicken gyros which is a 4/5 star but the stand out is the veggie. Classic flat bead with fresh charred peppers, onions and courgette plus halloumi. Although it’s against the recipe I do request that they hold the chips. The veg and halloumi is just right. I opt for chilli sauce and a little garlic. It’s bloody delicious. There’s a load of options; wraps, mezze, vine leaves as an extra and baklava. This appears to be a Middle Eastern/greek place. Prices are reasonable considering the abundance of filling you get in a gyros. Staff super lovely, asking me about what I’ve been up to. Good lads. Welcoming place with fresh ingredients and staff that give a shit. Into it! The...
