If you didn't know it was there you'd walk right past it (no signage)! I'm glad I did go in though, because this is a great wee pub, with an emphasis on 'wee' as it's not much bigger than my living room. But boy, does it pack a lot of fun and pizzazz into its space. Cuban influenced and with latino background music, the two barmen, in themed attire, serving up all the mojitoes you can handle (other cocktails and drinks are available). Clearly a favourite with the locals who, like me, enjoyed the sway of the atmosphere. First time visiting The King of Islington , what a fab little place . Cozy , friendly , and very welcoming. Staff were brilliant , all so friendly, professional and very helpful. Due to limited seating it was easy to socialise and chat with other tables from safe distance which was great . Cocktails made by Kier’O’n with an O were lovely 🤣🤣🤣 😊 he’s very knowledge and it’s obvious he enjoys what he does !! This is it. Throughout Scotland you will find a plethora of liquid tedium served as 'cocktails'; candy floss in your spirits, popping candy on the rim.
