I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at your establishment early today. My experience left me feeling unwelcome and frustrated due to the unprofessional behavior of one of your employees.
When I arrived, I chose to sit at a table that had not been cleared of cups and plates from previous customers. Shortly after, an employee came outside to bring an order to the table next to mine. I attempted to get her attention by politely saying, "Excuse me." She ignored me, so I called out a second time, and she ignored me again despite looking directly at me.
I then went inside and asked her nicely if she could come to clean the table. Her response was dismissive and rude, insisting that she did not ignore me but had gone inside to grab something. There was no way for me to know this, especially when she looked at me multiple times without acknowledging my request.
When she finally came outside to clean the table, she told me that I should not speak to her in that manner simply because she works there. I want to make it clear I was not rude in my request, I did not use an inappropriate language, I did not call her any name, I only asked for the table to be cleaned on a normal voice level. I don’t understand how simply asking her to do one task which is part of the job makes me rude. Her behavior was unprofessional and uncalled for. Furthermore, I was eventually asked to leave the premises, which I found absolutely unreasonable given the circumstances.
This experience was both unpleasant and unprofessional. I believe it is crucial for your staff to receive proper training on how to handle customer requests and maintain a respectful and professional demeanor at all times.
I hope that you will address this issue promptly to prevent similar incidents...
Read moreFor years now, The Roastery has been an anti-social blight in the local North Laine community. The grinding and roasting of its coffee is conducted over prolonged periods which exceed its agreed limits. This is an industrial process that has no place in a densely packed residential conservation area. The noise of its grinders exceed acceptable planning levels and the acrid smell from its chimney not only prevents residents from enjoying their gardens and opening their windows in summer but the smoke is toxic and a health hazard. At no time has The Roastery been interested in discussing a sensible way forward with the local community and the council. As a resident and someone who cares a lot about our community, please choose instead to support other fine local coffee shops such as Coffee@33, Black Mocha and...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience with Trading Post Coffee in Brighton. Although there was initially a misunderstanding regarding a left shopping bag, their team went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Joe and the staff were extremely helpful, ensuring my items were safely returned to me and even covered the shipping costs. The service I received afterward was excellent, and I truly appreciate their efforts to address and resolve the issue with professionalism and care.
The café itself is cozy and welcoming, and I look forward to visiting again on my next trip to Brighton. Thank you again to the team for your attention to detail and commitment to customer...
