NOT GOOD :{ - I am a MASSIVE fan of Tortilla so I was delighted when I found out they were opening up a restaurant in Windsor! But unfortunately the food did not impress, not even in the slightest! :(
Veggie tres tacos: hardly any vegetables in the tacos, too much sauce was used and it looked like it was slapped together by a four year old! One of the tacos had 0 of the roasted vegetables inside which was a massive let down and unfortunately went to waste! (The bread was heavenly though)
Burrito: The burrito was okay, lack of vegetables again and the wrap fell apart within a bite or 2!
Nachos: My favourite part! I was really sad when they arrived, half of the guac was at the bottom of the bag because the lid wasn’t placed securely, the nacho cheese sauce was COLD!! At the previous Tortilla stores i’ve visited the nacho cheese sauce had always been warm so it was a little annoying having to use the microwave while all the food got cold :{
I understand it’s just been opened but i’ve got to rate it fairly on what I believe compared to the other tortilla stores i’ve visited.
I won’t be in a rush to come back anytime soon but...
Read moreI'm a big fan of Mexican or Ameri-Mexican food so was looking forward to this. I used the click and collect service but it doesn't tell you anywhere that the restaurant is in a pedestrian zone, which is difficult to get to if you're driving.
The food itself was okay; the portions are on the small side given the prices. The burrito was tasty (chicken) and the chicken quesadilla was also good, although the way it was packaged meant that all the nachos were soggy (why not package them separately). The nachos were tasty but completely soggy - why not separate out ingredients for delivery/collection? The beef tacos were also soggy (had to use a fork) and the beef didn't have a great deal of flavour. My order was missing a bag of nachos, which is disappointing and from the other reviews seems to be an ongoing issue with the restaurant. Lastly, everything was quite salty. If you're looking for a quick but not authentic Mexicanish meal this is probably okay, but it's expensive for what it is. I may give them another go in the hope that this was...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Tortilla in Windsor, and I have to say the food and drinks exceeded my expectations. The service was prompt and helpful, and I was immediately impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. The highlight of our visit was definitely the food. Everything we ordered was delicious. And let's not forget the margaritas! They were absolutely divine, with the perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess. They were like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day! Overall, I highly recommend Tortilla to anyone looking for nice Mexican food and amazing margaritas. The prices were surprisingly affordable, especially considering the quality of the food and drinks. This is one restaurant that is definitely worth a...
