I was recommended this place as the best pistachio gelato in Leeds. It lived up to those promises! The gelato that really amazed me was the Chai Latte, it's a limited run so I would go soon.
You don't pay for scoops, you pay for containers so you can have as many flavours as you like and they will give you the amount of each that fits, that said they are not skimping! My gelato was falling over the sides!
The macaroons are wonderful, and the centres are gelato. Their current seasonal flavour is very moorish.
The staff was very friendly and helpful when I visited on Friday. I came back toward the end of my day because I wanted to bring some macaroons home to my husband. When I told the staff they warned me that they should be consumed within 30 mins but my drive was over an hour long.
They brainstormed with me as to how to keep them cool enough, gave me great advice and wished me luck. In case they are reading this and remember me: it worked! I got stuck in traffic, got home after 1.5hrs and my husband and I enjoyed them thoroughly, thank you so much!!!
This gelato place is a stall in the centre, it's wheelchair accessible with wheelchair accessible...
Read moreWere do I start because I won't be able to say enough!! The ice cream is second to none I mean absolutely beautiful smooth creamy refreshing a very high standard indeed, staff WOW! so helpful friendly and attentive but not forceful and patient, they are credit to the business as me and my other half felt spoilt for choice flavours wise so we was offered sample sticks which was a lovely touch so you know what you'll be getting or so you know not what to get incase a flavor isn't to your taste buds. Really loved the fact the staff knew they ice-cream as we was offered/told combos that worked together and just brought things to another level I was recommended to have hazelnut/pistachio/coconut together mmmmmmmmm what a combo, the skill of the staff was mesmerising to watch them create a flower from ice cream with lovely attention to detail, a very high end quality ice-cream at very reasonable prices will definitely be returning, would rate more alot more then...
Read moreMy most recent visit to this gelateria was nothing short of excellent thanks to the service received from a very friendly and helpful lady called Kristina. You see, on principle I really really want to dislike Amorino’s gelato because it’s a multinational chain and I want to support independent businesses but I have yet to find an independent gelateria that serves better ice cream than Amorino (not for lack of trying)! Kristina patiently listened to my conundrum and empathised wholeheartedly whilst preparing my order. The pistachio, hazelnut and hazelnut-chocolate (Amorino’s equivalent of Nutella flavour) gelato was lovely as always, not sickeningly sweet like so many other gelaterias. She also kindly offered me a taste of their Alphonso mango sorbet, something I would have never ordinarily tried otherwise, because in my experience sorbets are generally watery but their mango sorbet was sublime - I’ll definitely order it...
