This is the second out of 3 times I've ordered food from Fortune Cookie & it has been of such poor standard that it was inedible. Today I ordered 2 portions of salt & pepper wings, one spicy & one not spicy, plus crispy beef with egg fried rice. Wings came with chips (which I never ordered) & very few wings, no trace of salt & pepper or any type of seasoning & no chilli. In fact both portions of wings tasted exactly the same, soggy, stale, unseasoned with no taste! The crispy beef was overcooked & extremely dry and inedible with no beef & we couldn't find any egg in the egg fried rice. Waited over an hour to speak to the manager (I don't believe it was) who was very defensive, informed me that he would send out another order of food but would not refund because it's not "policy". He also told me that because I waited over an hour to inform them that the food wasn't good was not a good idea as it wouldn't look the same & he therefore couldn't vouch for it. I explained that I had called 3 times & was waiting for the manager to return my call & he didn't, so I called again. I refused the replacement order as the first one was so bad & I explained that I was disgusted that I had spent over £20 for food that was inedible. I would not recommend Fortune Cookie for food, it's not worth the money & the customer...
Read moreExtremely poor service. Placed an order of 3 items, called to say NO prawns in a dish to ensure the dish didn't contain any. Turned up full of prawns, and missing 1/3 items in the order. (How do you mess up a 3 item order!?) When I called to highlight the mistake and if anything could be done a rude person answered the phone and spoke over me shouted Uber eats problem and hung up.... wasn't till I returned the call and explained I understand mistakes happen but to hang up on a customer is nothing but poor when they've messed up on the most simple basic of orders.... After trying to pass the blame to Uber eats and their problem so "contact them" (delivery service, not cooking the food?!) I stood my ground. A different called to apologise when I said id leave a review ... here we are - yet unable to solve an issue still and looking to pass the blame. My partner had the only dish as I couldn't, and ended up putting in the bin as it was poor. Would avoid, I certainly won't be using again. Mistakes happen but no need...
Read moreThe manager of the Leeds branch is rude and foul. I had placed an order online, 50 minutes passed and nothing had been delivered. I called the take away, and wanted an update on where my food was. After I gave them my name, and looked at the status of my order, they said I had put it down to be collected. I ALWAYS request for a delivery, how it's been out down for a collection I will never know. The take away had said they can deliver it again, but it will take up to an hour. And by then I didn't want it so I had asked for a refund. The employee I was speaking to handed the phone to the manager. He stated that it was put down for a collection, but was speaking in a aggressive manner, I was very calm. He started raising his voice. I just wanted my refund, was not interested in the food at all. He ended up cutting me off. I have never been spoken to like this from a MANAGER out of all people. I was a loyal customer but I will NEVER order from here again. No respect for customers. The manager should be sacked...
