Happy Valentine's Day - I think not. My partner and I ordered a variety of bao buns off Deliveroo and we only received part of the order which was the beginning of a terrible meal. During the ordering process, it advised to call them if there are any allergen issues. The chips we ordered are cooked in sesame oil which is a major allergen for my partner. We tried to call 15 times and advise as per their description but not a single person answered the phone. Upon receipt of the food, we checked the chips and they were indeed covered in sesame meaning they were completely inedible. Following this, we checked our order and they had missed off some of the bao buns. With this in mind and no one answering the phone, I headed to their shop which is located by Deep Blue Fish and Chip shop and due to them closing 5 minutes before, was refused entry and told that nothing could be done or reordered. Then was advised to just speak to Deliveroo and come back tomorrow which was not at all helpful as I'm now left with half my food missing or inedible due to an allergen. I then decided to try the bao buns that were provided and they tasted microwaved with zero flavour. Would not recommend. Total disappointment and will never ever return. I will report to deliveroo and request a full refund from this...

I rarely leave reviews if things were just fine and don't like being negative but I hope my feedback helps! (For context we came around a year ago and really loved it hence choosing the same place)

I came on Wednesday eve at 7, however my food didn't come for an hour :( totally get places can be busy but there wasn't an apology or anything. Ordered the aubergine and salt n pepper tofu baos, and overall they were fine but just feel they lacked flavour - especially in comparison to my last visit where I LOVED the cauliflower one and the cucumber salad was good. Also got the katsu friends which were decent. Overall decent portion sizes - the above came to £16.

Just an apology or something would've been nice as feel an hour is far too long - made me late for a gig and all (although of course that's not your fault!)

Hope to try you guys again but wouldn't order the same...

Been a semi-regular customer here and not usually had a problem. Today (1/5) turned up for lunch. Had to wait an hour for our food, and when i went to the counter to get an update was rudely told by the two surly servers "we will call you when it's ready". When i politely asked (again) if they could give me a rough time, got told 10-15mins. That came and went, so went back to ask again. Again, servers were rude. When food did arrive, it was lukewarm and the cauliflower bao not properly cooked with the stem really chewy. Not worth the nearly £30 i paid for 2 people. Alas, i'm a semi regular customer no more. I can take a delay, just be honest and apologise....don't make me feel like an inconvenience. These guys will always do well due to location in the excellent North bar. But there are lots of options for dining out in Leeds, and i'll spend my £ where it feels a little...

We ordered from a hotel, and it got here really fast, food was hot, only issue we had was it didn't come with utensils. As for the food, I ordered the shredded beef and chips with a side of chicken. Together it was a good portion size, I think by itself it would have left me still wanting more. Even after that meal I feel like something sweet would be perfect. Im also not a big fan of mayo so the chicken being covered in sauce with mayo in it, I ate it but it wasn't my favourite thing. My girlfriend had the chicken loaded fries and chicken gyozas, she thought the gyozas were beautfiul but also wasn't a fan of the sauce We paid £32 which is alright, I recommend having something sweet for after it though 👌

Finally got to try Little Bao Boy at the St Albans Foodies Festival, and it hit the spot. I went with the beef brisket teriyaki bao, and it was delicious. The beef was perfectly cooked, tender, and with the right amount of teriyaki sauce. The bao itself was soft and fluffy, and the combo of sauce and pickled cucumber was perfect. I was a little disappointed they were out of crispy onions - that extra crunch would’ve been a nice touch. The only downside - they didn’t allow me to get two different bao buns, and the portion size felt a bit smaller than what I'd seen on social media and reviews. I'm excited to check out more of their menu at their new London location soon

Had the delight of visiting little bao boy over the Christmas period and got the to try the topped chips , deep fried spam bao and a chicken bao , these baos were full of flavour and the topped chips was a hefty portion but was very flavoursome. The place is great if your looking for your bao fix , pretty standard pricing for bao buns and the atmosphere is alright , Many flavours of interesting bao flavours to choose and the fact that north tap room is apart of the same building means you can enjoy a nice pint with your bao buns to wash it down !
