Rude customer service assistant who lied to us. I visited here a couple months ago and it is one of the rudest experiences I have had ordering food, if not the worst. I went in and whilst it was a little later in the day they hadn’t closed and customers were still coming in. Me and my partner tried to order a whole pizza, we were told they had ran out and only had what was on display. As they weren’t closing for another hour or so we did ask, will you be making anymore we can come back. To which they replied no that’s all we have. Which is fine. However after we paid we went and sat down to wait for our two slices (all that was left). We noticed that they were making more pizzas in the back, someone was rolling out dough, and then a minute later they put a whole 2 more pizzas on display. Me and my partner thought that can’t be, they told us all they had were two slices and there were no more being made. So my partner went up and asked if he could buy one of the whole pizzas they had just put out and they said no. He asked them why they had said no more are being made and why he isn’t allowed to buy a whole pizza when it is advertised. They said well we are making more pizzas but we don’t want to sell a whole pizza to you because then we might run out. She was extremely rude in the way she said this and didn’t apologise at all. The fact that she lied at first and said they had no more pizza was the part that is really wrong. We could clearly see once we had sat down that they were, she should have explained at the start, we’ve had a busy day so unfortunately we’re only selling single slices at the moment. The pizza was actually really nice so I am particularly upset at the way we were treated. Because our of principal I will...
Read moreSituated on Bold Street, amongst frankly quite a few overpriced and slightly pretentious restaurants, American Pizza Slice is an absolute GEM!
Staff were so lovely and friendly, the pizza is served by the slice and the meal deals will have you saying "WHAT cost of living crisis?" For the amazing price of £5.75 (or £5.80 with cheesy garlic bread) you can enjoy a slice of pizza, a mini garlic bread loaf and a drink served in a good old fashioned glass bottle!
The pizza slices are HUGE and so, so tasty. My Dad and I both ordered the goats cheese and roasted mixed peppers. The pizza base is so light but nice and doughy, the sauce to topping ratio is perfect and the pizza crust is so thick and chewy!!
Don't sleep on this one, it's perfect for a filling, pocket friendly lunch...
Read moreWe ordered a takeaway from here whilst in Liverpool and I was pleasantly surprised of how good the pizza is. The goods arrived much quicker than we anticipated. My wife got a margarita which was enormous and I got a Chicago deep dish which was also very substantial. We also got some garlic bread. Both pizzas were excellent. The margarita was thin and crispy with nice flavour. I’ve only had Chicago one other time and both have been amazing! Very filling so a full pizza could easily serve 2-3 normal people but I am not normal and gas it myself. Neither pizza was oily and didn’t feel greasy. The garlic bread was terrible. Brick hard and had little flavour. Thankfully we had garlic dip to help. A little pricey but worth it...
