**A Heartwarming Delight at the Museum CafĂ©** On a brisk Tuesday in February 2025, the chill outside led me to seek refuge—and a hearty meal—at the CafĂ© Inside the Museum. Skipping breakfast had left me ravenous, and the inviting aroma of freshly baked bread and simmering stews promised solace. Though the artful sandwiches on display tempted me, my eyes landed on the **scouse**—a traditional Liverpool stew—and I knew it was fate. **The Dish That Stole the Show** The scouse arrived steaming, its rich aroma alone thawing the winter cold. Tender chunks of meat and root vegetables swam in a savory broth, paired with a pillowy fresh roll and butter. The obligatory sides of pickled beetroot and tangy cabbage cut through the richness perfectly. Generous in portion (easily enough for two!), it was the ultimate comfort food—warming, satisfying, and deeply flavorful. **Atmosphere & Ambiance** Despite the lunchtime bustle, the cafĂ© buzzed with a relaxed, convivial energy. No blaring music or clattering distractions—just the hum of conversation and clinking cutlery. I snagged a seat by the window, gazing out at the whimsical **lambananas** (a Liverpool icon), which added a playful touch to the cozy scene. **A Minor Misstep** Post-meal, I opted for coffee—a decision I mildly regretted. Given the scouse’s hearty Northern roots, a robust cup of tea might have been the truer companion. Lesson learned! **Final Thoughts** Ignore my lackluster photo (the dish deserves better!); this scouse is a must-try. Perfect for fueling a day of museum exploration or simply fending off winter’s bite. The Museum CafĂ© nails homely comfort with a side of local charm. Don’t miss it! **Rating:** ⭐⭐⭐⭐œ (A star deducted only for my coffee choice—stick to tea!).

Ordered warm toast, were overcooked and was asked to remove my phone from the plug because it was no certified ? This is the strangest excuse I have heard, from guy with white hair and shirt. Oh and the side door remained opened all the time while in November, was blowing cold air all the time. Thanks ecology and heat consumption.

The café inside the Museum of Liverpool is a delightful spot to take a break after exploring the exhibits. It offers a cozy atmosphere with beautiful views of the waterfront. The menu features a variety of tasty options including fresh sandwiches, salads and delicious baked goods. I particularly enjoyed their coffee which was a perfect pick-me-up. The staff were friendly and attentive making for a pleasant dining experience. Overall, the café is a great addition to the museum, providing a relaxing space to recharge while enjoying the vibrant...

This cafe charges extra for plant based milks. I payed ÂŁ2.95 for a small americano. With dairy milk it is the same price as drinking the coffee without. Surely the cost should be cheaper if no dairy milk is used? I do not understand why dairy milk is free and plant based cost more. Alternatively why i pay the same for a coffee without as someone else pays for a coffee with dairy milk. Makes no sense. I understand plant based milk cost more than dairy however 50p for less than 100ml of milk is not...
