This was a nice place, but the waitress was awful. We were there on Saturday May 12th, around 6pm. We walked in and went to the bar. I saw an open door leading to the large back area (which seems to be the rest of the bar, but I couldn't really tell). I took four steps closer to the open door (which had a board in front of it) to see what was back there, when the waitress yelled 'YOU CAN'T GO BACK THERE!' Ok, I get it, she thought I was going through the door, but I was a good 15 feet from the door and I had stopped moving, and she yelled it as if I was going to walk in on something. Really strange. She did that again a few minutes later to someone else. About 15 minutes later my partner went to the toilet, leaving his 1/3 full, £5 bottle of beer on the table. She came over and took it. I hadn't noticed because I was talking to someone else, but the beer was on our table, and 1/3 full. My partner came back, saw the beer was gone and went to ask her what happened to it. 'Im not giving you a free beer!' was her instant, loud, defensive, and rude response. She admitted it was 1/3 full but refused to admit that she had done anything wrong. She kept on saying 'it was only this full', indicating a good 1/3 of the beer was left. I get it, stuff like this happens, but it was her response that pissed us off the most. She was rude and awful. I've worked in bars, I know what it's like, but there was no need to be so rude, and so instantly defensive. The bar was not busy, so I don't buy that she was too busy or stressed. She needs to be taught how to talk to humans. I won't be going back here again, and if she acts like this to others, I bet I am not the only one. Her manager needs to talk to her,...
Read moreSaved by the act..... We were here last night watching Rob Lamberti who is a George Michael tribute act...who was brilliant, i bought the tickets for my wife but what a singer and entertainer cant recommend him enough.... The venue though would have a lower rating but for the entertainment. Set up was good and the hall where the entertainment was well set up. Dj before hand was also really good and numbers wise just right not to busy but a good atmosphere.
Sadly it was badly let down by the bar and service....At one point i waited 20 mins to get a drink and im not quiet when asking....nowhere near enough staff on each bar...at one point bored of waiting i counted 60 plus people at the bar and 2 people serving. That and orders needed to be limited...huge wait and then someone im front goes can i have 6 red wines, 4 gin and tonics, 6 beers etc. Then after 20 mins of being there bare in mind the act is still 45 mins off. They ran out of white wine, 20 mins after that they ran out of the main beer, 20 mins later no more bottled beer, went on to local style beer which was horrible but no choice. 20 mins later thats run out and then next trip to the bar Last options Coors Beer, thats run out as well....
Dont understand how they were so unprepared its not the first act they...
Read moreLittle New Year's resolution for myself & my sister's (no matter how busy life gets) we'd make time for each other, getting together once a month, to try new thing's (or do the one's you've been saying for years you'd like to but never seem to get around to, lol) January's can tend to be a bit on the quiet side. We'd heard about this place alot, all being 90's generation girls, a themed night here sounded right up our street, tickets were very reasonably priced, so we decided to give it try. Sorry to say, we could not have been more disappointed (aged mid 30's/ early 40's) we still enjoy a good night out & know how to have fun! But we appeared to be at under 17's disco! There's no way more than half the people here were even old enough to get into a club, let alone be served with or allowed to drink alcohol (the girls in the toilets were competing having handstands up against the wall ffs) Not quite sure what exactly we'd walked into, but needless to say we walked out quicker! & to top it off, the music was not 90's...
