My wife and I stopped off here for lunch whilst we were visiting Liverpool. It’s an independent cafe which is nice. The shop bright and pink and of a average size. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. It was fairly busy but we got a table easy enough. At our table there was dangling decor from the ceiling that came right down in the middle of the table which was kind of in the way. There is lots to choose from on the menu and caters for most diets. We both decided to get the wheelie bin milkshake since it was a bit unusual. After tasting it we realised that, in fact, it was very usual. It was basically a bog standard nesquik strawberry milkshake in a mini wheelie bin with cream and marshmallows on top. A bit of a gimmick really. For food I decided to try Margy’s Scouse. It was my first time trying scouse. It came with homemade pickled cabbage and bread. The scouse was decent. It’s basically a beef stew with potatoes and some other veg. I can tell that it’s a reliable dish that you can’t really go wrong with. A good meal to have on a cold winter night. For me, it was quite tasty but wasn’t blown away, it’s probably not something I’d choose again. Just a bit meh. I have to say I am not usually a fan of pickled cabbage but this one was really great. The bread was just bread, nothing special. My wife got a brekky bagel which she said was nice with nothing to fault. Aside from the milkshakes, the food was relatively inexpensive. I’d say that the drinks were quite pricey, considering that it’s just cheap nesquik they use. Overall, the service was excellent, the food was good, milkshakes were average, the setting was nice but I’d be lying if I wasn’t slightly disappointed as I had high expectations based on...

We randomly found Lucy’s place today (Sunday) and so glad we did. Me and 3 mates had planned to go to Moose over the road, we got there at 0930 but it was all booked up.

So I turned around and spied Lucy’s which was also full up however it looked good so we sat at the table outside and managed to get a table inside after 10mins.

We just had a great experience there. Lovely vibes and tunes, the food was absolutely spot on and the team were good banter too (selfie with Lucy, aye go on then, I insisted, she was dead canny).

The food was a taste sensation, between us, we had two Scouse full English’s, one veggie brekkie and a brekky bagel. Everything was excellent. Quality food and well presented.

The drinks were excellent too, I loved the way they were presented on little trays: the flat white with a glass of water, and the teapot with a little metal urn of milk-so simple yet a good little detail thing.

So who needs Moose, not us anymore we declared on leaving. We shall return and suggest you do too. Great food, great vibes and you might get a selfie with the lovely Lucy too (she...

Wild West Breakfast May 2025

Had high hopes, Food was good hot but.. Service wasn't the best, staff need training in customer service, smile more and try look after the customer. Food brought to table without any cutlery had to ask for it and then waited for about 5 mins for cutlery was almost gonna eat it with my hands. Had to ask for our toast coz that never came either. Ordered an Americano which wasn't a Americano more like hot water and powder coffee. Requested a proper Americano and got spoken to like we was talking about something from another planet. Go and Google what Americano should look like instead of asking customers what you mean what coffee you want how do you want it. I'll go as far as saying it's the worst customer service I have ever had in a breakfast place. Has the potential to be decent but Massive staff training is required in customer service or new staff...

Food was good however I had more hopes for the coffee, being a coffee shop I thought they'd have more like a speciality coffee, something that area is lacking. As a presentation and taste, the food was good.
