The term 'buffet' is actually a misnomer for this restsurant. I visited the restaurant as its website displayed items such as dosa, chowmein, chola bhatura , fish, which are not common in Indian buffet. First thing to struck me on my visit that it is a small food joint among many others in a large food court. There is no need to book a table as all the tables are set in a huge public space. The food joint was managed by two overworked ladies. First we had to make payments before eating (£ 20ish for adult buffet). The food was limited ( both in variety and quantity), starters were served to us in a thali and for two adult buffet the starters included 2 samosa, 2 spring rolls and one vada. Also due to less staff the starter was served 30-40 minutes late. The items such as dosa, chowmein, fish was not there which the ladies blatantly said was 'subject to availability'. I said they should make things more clear in their website which is misleading. They later served me with a dosa. The dessert included gulab jamun which was limited to 2 and served by the lady at the counter. Apart from this the food tasted okay. It was no big of a difference from many other Indian buffets I had tasted before. Anyone coming by car, the parking will be at a nearby multi storey car park. Bottomline, please do not expect the regular buffet. Its basically an overpriced thali. Other buffet cost around £15 ( average) and will provide with more varieties and quantity together with a good ambience. This buffet was limited in space, food and staff. Hopefully, the management will improve upon these points in near future....
Read moreEnjoyed some tasty Indian food and an Indian smoothie with a friend but we were surprised to be restricted on our portions.
For example when we went to get more food for the second time one of the servers at Little India was reluctant about giving me more meat rolls or some samosas. I ended up getting some more thankfully.
By the third visit to the food serving area we were told "you can have more but this will be your last time".
I won't be paying £20 for food again, its supposed to be a buffet not a three course meal arrangement! Quite shocking to be honest..
My mate had less choice for a vegetarian option so I think it was worse for him who paid slightly less - around...
Read moreRating on service, presentation and me u, NOT food quality. Did not eat here. So, around 12.30 Monday I visited. I see this was not really a kitchen, but 2 microwaves and some metal buffet style bowls, not what I expected. I asked for a menu.. was advised the photos on the hoarding was the menu.. asked what about prices?.. I will tell you..🤷♂️.. asked for Masala Dosa, oh we don't have that.. so I said, maybe tell me what you do have? asked about vegetarian options, all were lentil, paneer, but home style and not like Rogan Josh etc., I decided to leave for these reasons... I believed that you couldn't sell food without a price list!! ...
