The Central — Restaurant in Liverpool

We visited here yesterday, from Manchester before watching Beauty and the Beast. We have never come across such rude, horrible staff. First we were asked why we couldn't all order our drinks together ( why would we, we don't go in rounds) the barmaid pulled her face then told the other barmaid who did the same. Next we were told the card machine had gone down (it was working Immediately before our order and after) . We said we had no cash and was told we either pay or our drinks would be taken away. Not sure whether it was because we wasn't locals and regulars. I would avoid this place. The staff need training in customer service, and service with a smile! Definitely in the wrong job

I have seen your reply but I am unable reply direct so I will edit my review. I can assure you they did speak to us like I said, there were 8 of us who all witnessed it. If I'm honest it really wasn't a great start to our night and day in Liverpool. it was an older lady with shoulder length brown hair and it was around 1pm we went in. I understand that WiFi can be temperamental, but considering the way we were treated prior to the card machine not working, I am unsure as to whether this was true. Vibrant pub opposite Central Station with very friendly and hard working staff, including the door staff, that serves a great selection of real ales....with Bombardier always on tap. Probably the best karaoke in Liverpool, particularly on a Friday and Sunday with the very knowledgeable Richard as host. A group of us from Dundee spent a few nights in Liverpool last week and made this place our local away from home. From the first evening we spent there with the friendly and bubbly Rebecca to the other evenings with her colleagues and meeting the owner we were all made to feel most welcom by all the staff and regulars.
