Nana's Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Llandudno

Really nice young lady served us very friendly and helpful . You can eat outside tables or 2 tables inside at no extra cost or takeaway which we did . Me and my Wife both had fish chips and large mushy peas ( I upgraded to haddock from cod as I prefer the taste ) . excellent portions especially the peas in a large tub filled to the top Nice crispy thin coated batter on the fish and was perfectly cooked still moist and tender on the inside . Chips had a slightly crispy outer but lovely fluffy on the inside . ( I would have preferred a bit more crunch to the chips for my own preference ) The standard fish and chips deal is probably the best value I've seen ( several places charge more for small fish and chips ) and this is a full portion . Overall I would say very good value and good portions I think fish and chips was £5 large mushy peas were £1.50 and I upgraded to Haddock for £1.50 extra . Terrible, was 'greeted' by you'll have to wait 5 minutes before we csn take your order. Fair enough. Followed by the man telling the female staff member she needed to do better and get her head in it. No hair nets with female staff having long hair. No masks or visors despite current Welsh rules. Our order given to another family, then returned and then passed to us, 5 minutes later after first family drove off, realised not thier order and returned. Ordered 2 large sausages 1 large chips and 1 small chips. The large chips was literally like a cone of chips and the small chips even less. Was pitiful. Sausages were nice on the plus side. Asked for salt and vinegar none put on. Most of the chips in the large portion were thin and hard....

We got 2 fish & chips which we had to wait around for 10 minutes for it to be ready even though there was only 1 other person waiting and when we finally got our food the batter wasn't crispy (considering it had just been freshly done) and when my boyfriend picked up the first bit of fish there was a long brown hair underneath it. He returned it and they made him a fresh one (which again took about 10 minutes) so I had finished mine when he finally got his food. They apologised but no offer of partial refund for the problem and then having to wait around again. They also didn't have hair nets on so there is no wonder there was hair in the food. Definitely...
