Some years ago, travelling with my disabled daughter. We decided to take the land train as the website said it was accessible & the rear carriage had a big wheelchair symbol on the side. Each train that came along had the accessible carriage full of folded buggies & prams . When I enquired about getting on I was told to get on the next train so I waited for the next train & was told the same thing. The third time round I said that I had to let 2 trains go & I would like to get on this one. The operator was abrupt to the point of rudeness. I did complain to the tourist office but as we were going home 2 days later I didn't pursue it. Llandudno is a pretty town but this experience left a stain on our memory if it. You can say what you like on a website & paint logos on the carriages to appear disability friendly but if the staff have no interest in operating under those terms then it is clearly not...

Came across this on accident and so glad I did! Trams were closed when I visited and the cable car a bit shaky for my liking. This didn’t go all the way to the summit but instead took us for a loop around the Orme and I ended up seeing more this way! Our guide provided great commentary along the journey and pulled over to let us see some seals. We also saw some mountain goats and stopped at a cafe. The majority of the passengers were elderly or those with mobility issues, and the guide was friendly and helpful providing stools and a firm arm. Overall, a great way to see the Orme in a...

Had a fantastic time on the land train, not only was the commentary very informative but the sights are breathtaking when it's sunny. Been around the Great Orme by car but it's not the same because on the land train you are sitting up higher and get to see lots more. You get to stop off at a lovely cafe on the Orme for 15 mins during the tour. If you have mobility issues there are no problems as they have a step to help you get in and out, just ask if you need it. Took an hour and it was time well spent for £10. Great staff on...
