I came to China Town today to eat at this newly opened Nan Hotpot! I have always thought it was great when I ate it in China. Now there are more and more hotpot restaurants in London! The decoration of their restaurant really makes me feel like I am back in Chongqing Hotpot Restaurant. Let me share my experience with you~
🥘 For the soup base, I chose the medium spicy beef oil soup base with tomato soup. People from outside the southwest would not dare to order the super spicy soup base~ The taste of the soup base is very good! It is not too salty, and the tomato soup is not too sweet, just right!
🥘 For meat, I ordered the super tender double pepper beef, the super flavorful braised beef, and the favorite hotpot must-have starch ham sausage! There is also super fragrant duck blood~ It feels very fresh! Double pepper beef must be ordered!
🥘 For seafood, fish roe shrimp paste, spicy black fish fillet and crab stick! The fish fillet is as tender and delicious as the beef fillet! After the shrimp paste is mixed with the fish roe, every bite is super fragrant!
🥘 Vegetarian main course, and also ordered crispy green bamboo shoots and very rich old tofu! It is a very delicious old tofu that I have never bought in London!
🥘 Desserts, the taste is really amazing Panda hand-rubbed Adazi, the black sesame flavor is really super delicious! ! With the coconut milk inside, you can't stop eating it! Panda Cheese Ding Ding Le is a full liter of happy hometown! There are pistachios, marshmallows, coconut, and jelly in it! The seasoning is also really delicious, and it can relieve spiciness! I really love it
Overall, it's a bit invincible! From the bottom of the pot to the variety and freshness of the ingredients, as well as the delicacy of the dessert, I really like it! Go! It's really delicious! The...
Read moreAfter watching a show at Covent Garden today, I suddenly caught a whiff of an amazing hotpot aroma! Following the scent, I stumbled upon the hugely popular Nan Hotpot from back home in China! This place is a viral sensation in China, with wait times of at least two hours—I couldn’t believe I found it in London! We arrived around 5 PM and luckily didn’t have to wait, but by 6:30 PM when we left, the place was packed and there was already a queue. Pro tip: come early!
Three of us spent around £90, including a 12.5% service charge. With the student discount (20% off, available before 6 PM), it came down to just £25 per person! 💰 While it’s slightly more expensive than in China, the authentic Sichuan-style hotpot experience in London is totally worth it. Perfect for when you’re craving a spontaneous hotpot fix!
🍲 The flavors were incredibly authentic! The spicy beef tallow broth was rich and aromatic, and the sesame oil dipping sauce was spot-on. The biggest surprises were their glutinous rice balls in brown sugar shaved ice (bing tang yuan) and fried rice with egg! The bing tang yuan wasn’t just plain ice water with rice balls—it had small glutinous rice balls paired with brown sugar shaved ice, which was absolutely delicious! The fried rice was also perfectly seasoned and made for an amazing pairing with the hotpot. 😋
The beef tripe was super crispy, and the portions were generous! Overall, Nan Hotpot is a must-visit in London’s Chinatown. If you’re missing authentic Chinese hotpot, this is the place to go! 💃

Read moreWe had a special promotion deal for £66.00 which included 2 broths (mushroom & medium spicey), marinated beef, beef short rib slices, king prawns, crab sticks, sweet potato noodles, spinach, enoki mushrooms. It also included 3 sweets dishes; glutinous rice cakes with brown sugar, Panda shaved ice strawberry flavour and brown sugar ice with rice balls. This was plenty of food between 3 of us. Marinated beef was delicious and very tender. Didn't rate the beef short rib since this almost disintegrates. Veg and shrooms are veg and shrooms, they were fresh. As for the sweets, brown sugar ice was refreshing and light, the glutinous rice cakes were great, crispy outside, chewy centre and not too sweet. The showstopper was the Panda ice, it's like eating coconut flavour clouds with strawberry jelly and bits at the bottom, a must order! 2 lemon teas (£3.80ea) and a thai milk tea (£3.50) were good, hits the spot if you fancy these. Condiments were £3.00 ea which you have to order if you want to make your own sauce, but all hot pot places do this now to rinse your wallet. We went Saturday lunchtime and the service was very good, came by regularly topping up the water in the pot without us prompting and the food came at a good pace, where the table wasnt packed with dishes. Third hot pot place I've been in London vs happy lamb and heidi lou, I think this one is...
