ABC Kitchens London: A Masterpiece of Culinary Art and Design

Location and Ambiance

ABC Kitchens, the newest venture from the renowned ABC group in NYC, has made its grand entrance in London, and it's nothing short of spectacular. Nestled within the luxurious Emery Hotel at the foot of Hyde Park Corner, the restaurant boasts an enviable location facing Hyde Park. Designed by the acclaimed Remi Tesser and adorned with masterpieces by Damien Hirst, ABC Kitchens offers an exquisite blend of art and culinary delight.

The restaurant's interior is impeccably designed, exuding elegance and sophistication. The attention to detail is evident in every corner, from the carefully selected furniture to the high-quality finishes. The ambiance is one of exclusivity and refinement, with a limited number of tables ensuring an intimate and personalized dining experience. This thoughtful design contributes to an exceptional level of service that truly stands out.

Cuisine

The most crucial aspect of any restaurant is the food, and ABC Kitchens does not disappoint. Each dish is a testament to the quality of ingredients and the culinary expertise of the chefs. The menu, while not overly complicated, offers a variety of delightful options that cater to diverse palates.

From the starters to the main courses, including tacos and pizzas, every bite was a revelation. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was impeccable. A particular highlight was the dessert menu, which featured innovative combinations such as rhubarb, adding a unique twist to traditional sweets.

Over the past two months, we have dined at ABC Kitchens twice, eager to sample everything the menu has to offer. Each visit has been a culinary journey, leaving us more impressed than before.

Service

The staff at ABC Kitchens are a paragon of professionalism and warmth. Attentive and present throughout both lunch and dinner, their service enhances the overall dining experience. They are knowledgeable about the menu and are eager to make recommendations, ensuring that every guest feels valued and well-cared-for.

Value

Considering the prime location and the exceptional quality of the food, the pricing at ABC Kitchens is very reasonable. It strikes a perfect balance, offering a luxurious dining experience without being exorbitantly priced.

Conclusion

In summary, ABC Kitchens in London is a must-visit for anyone seeking an extraordinary dining experience. The combination of stunning design, outstanding food, and impeccable service makes it a standout addition to the London culinary scene....

Absolutely appalling food in a stunning restaurant.

I loved: beautiful atmosphere and restaurant, good service

I hated: the food. The worst I've had in years.

● Crab toast: crab was fresh but its delicate taste is absolutely ruined by salty mayo, the toast itself is soaked in olive oil, every bite delivers a gagging mouthful of oil and mayo taste. The crab deserves better and this waste is appalling ● Pretzel crusted calamari: served cold, oil coming out of the calamari, just seemed it was reheated and then left for a while, because the crust was more like a sprinkle of soft crumbs. ● grilled octopus: the octopus was decent, but why oh why was it served with roast potatoes and the whole thing was yet again greasy and without a hint of anything fresh or green or just aaaaanything to cleanse the palate or balance the dish out?! ● crispy dover sole tacos: what I expected - lovely piece of dover sole on a bed of crispy vegetables and a drizzling of some fancy sauce; what I got - yet another oil soaked dish of a tiny piece of some fish barely visible through a thick cluster of deep fried batter and a few cabbage leaves that looked more torn (like the ones you see in a rabbit's cage) than delicately chopped let's say, and maybe somewhere in between there was an apple slice but I have not noticed it or tasted it. All of that is placed inside a plain wrap that tastes of nothing whatsoever, like the one you'd get at your local supermarket.

Commonnnnn guys, what are you doing ??!!

At one point I was starting to just laugh and was craving anything, just anything fresh and clean, like a glass of green smoothie, which i ordered and downed quickly, much to my relief.

Never again.

Not until they sack the chef that was cooking our meal, anyway.

Ps: oh, for the sake of fairness, I'd point out that the freshly baked bread was,...

On first impression the design of luxury would serve an ambiance to comfortable dining, with exquisite Lighting +Decor.

The staff were very professional, attentive, ensured our satisfied options.

No photos ., but I had the squid to start which was perfect (not chewy). Second, I chose the octopus in Korean paste. The octopus just melted, very tender and charcoaled just right, with side of sashimi +sLaw. The side basket of breads were fresh and moist.

One slight criticism, the music was far too Loud for a busy dining atmosphere. I did ask if they could change it to a softer more appreciative tone., to them changing it up to a techno beat beat beats neuronal head bashing, as trying to Talk to your guests was a shouting effort. At one point they put bell timbre similar to soundtrack of film Halloween or /the Exorcist, Just 'NO' it lowered the mood, somewhat.

I really think the Hotel Management should take Heed of this review and make necessary adjustments

But worst of all - the Hotel struggled in every area this evening was the furnace heat (of which I also made complaints known). The heat was a dry atmospheric described rather as a slow build up to getting HeatStroke as the evening wore on., which I may add, is NOT conducive to anyone with chronic health conditions .......

The Ladies toilets were just as...

Party of three came for dinner and we loved it! To begin with, the venue is spectacular. The efforts to create a mindful atmosphere to enhance the experience is noted; the artwork is well selected, the orange sunset light really adds to the overall ambiance, and some of the tables are close to an open-kitchen layout where you can see the chefs preparing the food. The service is also great; the waiters are kind and attentive and will help with suggestions for pairings. The food was also out of the world. We got complementary bread which was delicious, warm and light; and as a starter we got the dorset crab toast which was by fair the highlight of the dinner: flavoursome, rich and filling, it’s a must have. For main, we shared some BBQ pork tacos with picked pinapple, which paired well; the arroz con pollo which was a good earthy traditional dish, incredibly tasty with lemon drizzle and very filling! Lastly we ordered two portions of the beer battered maitake mushroom, which was also a delicious dish with fresh produce and a unique sauce. Would recommend 10/10

Where do I even begin? If I could rate the food a -10 out of 5, I would. This is easily one of the worst restaurants in London. The food was excessively salty, and the overall cuisine was a disaster. The dishes didn't complement each other at all. The pasta and ravioli dough were too thick, and the tomato sauce tasted like it came straight out of a can, not even cooked with the ravioli. The truffle pizza was both salty and bitter, and the burger was completely tasteless. The arroz con pollo tasted like it had been microwaved. Not a single dish was good. We were a group of 12, and all of us agreed we'd rather have gone to Nando’s. The desserts were revolting, as if my 4-year-old nephew had made them in school without supervision. Don't waste your evening here. The food was so bad that I didn't even bother taking photos.
