Minus one star due to things missing off menu. But I feel bad doing that. I’m really not a person to take photos of my food, but I made an exception here. Now I’ve come to write my review I see that others seem to have taken practically identical photos! I was in London for work and walking from Tufnell Park back to Kings Cross. I needed sustinence and wanted to eat somewhere that looked straightforward. There seemed to be a lot of pretentious cafes/restaurants in the area …. Or maybe I’m just not used to London. There was a negative straight off. None of the pies on the menu were available that day - neither savoury nor sweet. That was a little strange. However, I'm easily persuaded to have a fry-up and ordered one of the all-day-breakfasts. In this case I think it was called Megabreakfast. It was great value, and not so much because of the portion size, which was decent, but not grotesquely massive. Rather it was the quality – which was a surprise for the nature of the dish and the price. It came with coffee, which was from a machine and really good, and bread, which you’d imagine had come from a baker, and wasn’t the cheapest white slice on the supermarket shelf. I'd have preferred apple pie for dessert. But with the pies missing I had ice-cream. This was OK. The couple (?) running it were pleasant too.

Lovely little family run cafe just off York way. We visit quite regularly for breakfast and it never disappoints. They are also very flexible with the menu, which is great as you can get exactly what you want! Great service, great value. And always good to support a local business... 🙂

Small local cafe. Very good food for its price. Way to the toilet goes through the kitchen and down the steep stairs, so no possibility to bring a buggy there and no changing facilities for the baby anyway.

Absolutely superb! I am not a local and have been living in London only a few years. I am northern so cafe's of different kinds are common where I am from and with affordability. This is something lacking in London, in my opinion (though I am sure there are hidden gems here and there) but this place is great.

The menu is extensive and the price I cannot argue with.

For example, if I remember correctly a jacket potato will be costing you £2+. Usually it would be £6+. They clearly know how to make a margin on their food but make it affordable, tasty and great portions

Please visit - this place deserves the...
