EDIT I have had to edit my review because my most recent visit was very disappointing. I believe they are under new management. When I walked in there was a bad smell (the smell of people who haven’t showered) in the cafe so this was very off putting. The croissant that I bought was rock hard and stale. Coffee was nice and that was the only redeeming feature. Hygiene is lacking in this establishment as the lady at the counter put her whole hand inside the paper bag to open it before putting my croissant in. The bag should be opened from the outside.

I discovered The Mokapot House on Lower Clapton Road E5 0RN. Be warned, the food is so good you get addicted to it and that's great because it's all so tasty and filling. The guys Alexia and Adel are very warm and friendly and service is top notch. You can eat in or takeaway boxes. There's a rich spread of pastries, wraps and sandwiches available and a fresh choice of Mediterranean salads daily. Coffee! Coffee! Coffeeee any which one you desire. And calm down, fresh juices are on hand too. The beauty of it all is that the prices are quite reasonable. I wish they could sell their house blend...
