Last Sunday, with guests visiting from Italy, I found myself at Bella Vita, an authentic Italian eatery nestled in the lively and eclectic Broadway Market. Surrounded by the buzz of market stalls and street food vendors, Bella Vita’s charming atmosphere and authentic Italian team made it an inviting spot for lunch. We began our meal with homemade focaccia bread, beautifully soft with a perfect hint of olive oil, paired with chilled Peroni beers, a simple yet satisfying start. We also shared the Burrata pizza, which came highly recommended as a starter. The creamy, indulgent burrata paired with the light, crispy base was an absolute delight and a definite must-try for any first-time visitor. For mains, I opted for the spaghetti pomodoro, a classic done well. The spaghetti was cooked to al dente perfection, with a light tomato sauce that offered a bright and tangy flavour. However, I couldn’t help but wish for a bit more fresh basil and a bolder kick of garlic to elevate the dish further. My Italian guest, ever a connoisseur of his native cuisine, ordered the carbonara and was truly impressed. He praised the rich, creamy texture and the balance of flavours, a testament to the kitchen’s respect for Italian culinary traditions. The service at Bella Vita was another highlight of our experience. The staff were attentive, warm, and genuinely passionate about their food and guests. A special mention goes to Sandy, who provided exceptional service with her radiant smile and thoughtful attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of our meal was enjoyable. Overall, Bella Vita offers a delightful slice of Italy in the heart of London’s Broadway Market. With its authentic flavours, welcoming staff, and a vibrant location, it’s an ideal spot for a casual yet memorable Italian dining experience. Rating: 8/10 Must-try dish: Burrata Pizza Nick #doctorfoodielondon

Absolutely fantastic experience at Bella Vita! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Elly, the manager, who provided top-notch service throughout the evening. She was incredibly attentive, ensuring everything was perfect from start to finish. We started with the prawn and tricolore starters, both beautifully presented and packed with fresh, vibrant flavours. For mains, we had the carbonara and the steak—both were cooked to perfection, rich in flavour, and truly satisfying. To finish, we indulged in the cannoli and tiramisu, both of which were absolutely divine, the perfect sweet ending to our meal. We also enjoyed a few cocktails, which were expertly crafted and complemented the meal beautifully. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making for an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend Bella Vita for anyone looking for excellent food, outstanding service, and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely bonkers that the waitress was telling us off just because we only ordered drinks. We waited to be seated by the door. A female servicing staff saw us and asked us whether we wanted food or drinks. We said it clearly that, drinks only please. And we were seated around outdoor area by the street. Apparently these were the prime seats. When we ordered, she found out we only wanted drinks, she said in an annoyed tone with looks, “Oh you all just want drinks!? I didn’t know. Fine, this time ok.” I said to her “Fine, we leave after we finish the drink, alright?” She made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. We were so confused! Three of us heard that we said drinks only! And the restaurant wasn’t full, there were plenty of other outdoor prime seats. There was a 12.5% service charge. I was contemplating not giving but it wasn’t just her serving us. The other staff was Ok, at least not giving us looks.

Bella Vita, nestled in the heart of Broadway Market in Hackney, offers an authentic Italian dining experience that combines classic dishes with contemporary twists. The restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere, coupled with its friendly and attentive staff, makes it a perfect spot for gatherings with family and friends.

During our recent visit, we were warmly welcomed by our server, Wilf, whose exceptional service enhanced our dining experience. His attentive and personable approach ensured that all our needs were met, contributing significantly to the enjoyment of our evening.

The menu at Bella Vita is extensive, featuring a variety of antipasti, homemade pasta specialties, pizzas, seafood, and meat dishes. We started with the burrata and bruschetta; the tomatoes were fresh, and the cheese was appropriately gooey. For mains, the piccante pizza, topped with chorizo, pepperoni, jalapeño, and an egg, was a delightful combination of flavors. The salmon, accompanied by roast potatoes, was perfectly grilled on the outside with a soft inside, showcasing the kitchen’s expertise in preparing fish dishes.

Bella Vita’s commitment to using high-quality Italian ingredients is evident in every dish. The restaurant prides itself on sourcing everything directly from its place of origin, ensuring authenticity and freshness.

The ambiance of the restaurant is lively and welcoming, making it a popular spot among locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re seated indoors or enjoying the outdoor seating that offers a view of the bustling Broadway Market, Bella Vita provides a dining experience that is both cozy and engaging.

In conclusion, our visit to Bella Vita was a memorable one. The combination of delectable food, exceptional service from Wilf, and a warm atmosphere made it an ideal place to enjoy a meal with loved ones. We look forward to returning and highly recommend Bella Vita to anyone seeking an authentic Italian dining...

I recently dined at Bella Vita, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. Our server, Dayane, truly elevated the evening with her exceptional service and attention to detail.

The menu at Bella Vita offered a fantastic selection of authentic Italian dishes, making it difficult to choose just one! Dayane was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful recommendations and helping us select the perfect wine to pair with our meal. Her enthusiasm for the cuisine was contagious, and it was clear that she genuinely cared about our dining experience.

The food itself was nothing short of spectacular. The pasta was perfectly cooked, with rich and flavorful sauces that tasted like they came straight from a kitchen in Italy. We also indulged in the tiramisu for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending to a flawless meal.

What really stood out was Dayane's impeccable timing and warm, personable service. She was attentive without being intrusive, always there when we needed something but never hovering. Her friendly demeanor and professionalism made us feel like valued guests, not just another table.

Overall, Bella Vita offers not only delicious Italian cuisine but also top-notch service. If you’re looking for a dining experience that combines great food with outstanding service, be sure to ask for Dayane. We will definitely...
