Five stars for vibe, atmosphere and decor, I mean there is a TV in your booth for goodness sakes, I love it. This bar is just amazing if you are into sports bars it’s just an amazing place to chill. It has multiple seating areas that give you a different feel depending where you sit. If you want a simple bar vibe then you can have that. If you want a semi private booth feel with a TV in your booth so you can watch with friends and eat and drink then you can have that too. If you want comedy nights or live music you can have that too all on one floor.
The bar is well stocked with all the drinks you would expect. They serve food of which I’m yet to sample so no food review from me I’m afraid. But what I love about this place is the decor, even in the ceiling you have drums that are lit, guitars on the walls and you just get the feel that you are out for the night. What’s unique about this place is the hostel above, I can’t say I’ve tried it but it seems popular and I can image if you get too drunk you can book a room for the night ??
This bar is not far from CoCo’s and the nearest tube is Mornington Crescent I think that northern line. But it’s not far from Camden Town either. There are plenty of food places surrounding this place so you really can have a good night out. For me the staff are really nice and friendly and will make sure you are looked after if there is a problem with the...
Read moreI didn't expect much, considering it was just a hostel that a group of us were using for one night, but in that 24 hours, Belushi's messed up our booking, made no attempt to rectify it or refund any money and were also extremely rude. The blonde Australian barmaid is by far the worst, telling us to get out at midnight despite the fact that we were paying to stay there and refusing to serve us before time at the bar. Once they'd kicked us out on to the street, the staff took their drinks and went downstairs to have a party instead of doing their job, which we all really appreciated as paying customers.
The room itself wasn't particularly clean, and the sheets boasted some extremely dubious white stains (we can all assume what they were) and didn't seem to have been cleaned properly at all. The light fittings over the mirror didn't work and weren't even screwed in properly so will probably never work. The shower was also dirty and the shower head couldn't even be kept upright.
The "complimentary breakfast" was a large pot of coffee, some unrefrigerated milk and not enough spoons. When we asked for clean spoons to stir our coffee, we were rudely told that there weren't any. It took 10 minutes for something as simple as a clean spoon to arrive.
So, all in all, if you want somewhere nearby to central Camden and you're not fussed about service, cleanliness, or quality for money, this...
Read moreAwful management with poorly trained staff. Went to hear a live band. Ordered food for a group of 6. Waited ages and went to check up. It had been sitting in the dumb waiter behind the bar for a long time. Staff were passing it, looking at it and leaving it. I asked about it and was given a plate but the food was cold. Asked for it to be redone. Staff agreed. Manager their came to our table and said they couldn't refire because the kitchen was closed. He refunded the money and disappeared.
I asked the barman if we could bring chips in from next door, as the kitchen was closed. He said yes, so I went out and brought them back. Doorman wouldn't let me in with food so I asked him to call the manager.
The manager arrived and said he couldn't allow food in from somewhere else! I reasoned that their kitchen was closed and they'd let us down, but he was adamant. Said his boss simply wouldn't allow it. Told him I'd give a bad review and he didn't care. He didn't have the power to do anything. We were hungry so left our drinks and left the pub.
Avoid this pub if decent food and good service are important. The management do not care about these...
