I have been a loyal customer of your Wood Street branch for over a year, visiting daily to purchase my coffee. During this time, I have always been impressed by the exceptional service provided by your friendly and helpful staff. However, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience with your new manager.
On Monday 17th February , I visited the Wood Street branch, as usual, to purchase my coffee. The gentleman in front of me was served without issue, but when it came to my turn, the manager directed me to place my order via the screen on the wall. I explained that I was in a rush due to an important meeting and requested assistance, especially as I typically use my Tastecard and Blacksheep loyalty card, which the staff have always been happy to scan at the counter.
Despite my request, the manager insisted that I use the screen. After doing so, she informed me that the order had not gone through. When I asked if she could help, she put on her blue gloves and told me I would have to wait five minutes because she was “too busy” to serve me. Unfortunately, I couldn’t wait any longer and left the store without my order.
I subsequently visited your St Paul’s branch, where Priscilla greeted me warmly and provided the excellent customer service I have always associated with Blacksheep Coffee. Her professionalism and friendly attitude stood in stark contrast to my experience at the Wood Street branch.
Given this, my team and I have decided we will no longer visit the Wood Street location due to the poor service we encountered. We are happy to walk the extra distance to St Paul’s, where we know we will be treated with respect and served efficiently.
I would appreciate it if you could address this matter with the new manager, as customer satisfaction plays a vital role in retaining loyal customers like myself.
Thank you for your time...
Read moreOn a cold autumn day, this is a great cafe to duck into for warm treats and a toasty atmosphere.
Even though I enjoyed this place, it had both positives and negatives. However, nothing was so bad or egregious that I would never return. In fact, I would gladly come back for a hot cup of coffee and a waffle stuffed with bananas and Nutella (so good).
The staff was very kind and helpful. They were understaffed (meaning, one person was working) and overlooked part of our order. When we inquired about it, the lady was apologetic and immediately corrected the issue.
The food and coffee were really good. We had multiple cups of black and specialty coffee along with a few waffle sandwiches, smoothies, and one açaí bowl. The coffees were very tasty and the smoothies were as well. The waffle sandwiches were my favorite. No matter what flavor you get, it’s all good. The açaí bowl was delicious but overly runny. If you get it, make sure to add some add-one like granola and fruit to soak up some of the juice. However, if you like your açaí bowls runny then I guess enjoy the juiciness (yuck). As far as food and drink goes, they have a ton of options, and with their cashless, digital ordering system you can customize virtually anything. The restaurant is your oyster.
The establishment is dog friendly and has a cup of coffee campaign for the homeless. When you order, you can choose to add cups of coffee to your order for the homeless. They will distribute them with a handwritten card from you. That’s a fairly cool thing. However, one point of criticism. A cashless coffee shop aiming to help homeless, renders any homeless person’s attempt to buy a cup of coffee with cash worthless; possibly an area to improve.
Overall, this is a great atmosphere with good service and a full...

Nothing to say against coffee, filter was simply amazing!! Definitely will try your beans at home! But never will come back to have a cup of coffee in your shop. When we came in the servis was average. But what happened when we wanted to order second cup, it's unbelievable. It was six customers sitting in, no-one from staff really cared that we finished drinks, so I asked for a menu again, they told me that they closing at 17:30, I still wanted to order we had 30min, but noone came back for our order! When I was looking for someone, one waitress was behind the counter eating something and looking at me like 'what do I want'. After that came some really rude guy didn't even know that we are sitting there already an hour surprised that we want to order again. After that we just wanted to leave so asked for a bill he told us to go to the till and pay there. Until that time I was trying to be nice understood they want to close soon. But when I was paying by my card the same rude guy was watching me and then said "It doesn't matter I see your pin, I can not do anything without your card." I really...
