Second REVIEW: I am absolutely appalled by the service at Black Sheep Coffee Battersea. The customer service is virtually non-existent, and the speed at which they operate is a complete joke. I order online 10 minutes in advance through their app, expecting a quick pick-up, but every single time, I am left waiting an additional 5 to 6 minutes upon arrival. This isn’t for some complicated, made-to-order meal – it’s just an iced oat latte with a couple of syrups! How hard can it be to make a simple coffee drink? This week has been the final straw. Twice I had to cancel my order because the delays were making me late for work. It’s beyond frustrating to see staff moving at a snail’s pace, completely oblivious to the concept of urgency or basic customer service. There’s no ticket science involved in making a latte, yet they manage to mess it up every single time. The lack of efficiency and care is astounding. It’s as if they don’t even care about their customers or their time. I’ve given them multiple chances, hoping for an improvement, but it’s clear that this is just how they operate. I will never be returning to Black Sheep Coffee Battersea and would strongly advise others to avoid it if they value their time and sanity. Absolutely unacceptable and incredibly disappointing. First REVIEW: My relationship with Black Sheep Coffee's Battersea branch is akin to a rollercoaster ride—full of highs and lows, twists and turns. While the allure of their premium products and unique location initially drew me in, the persistent issues with service efficiency have left me feeling frustrated and disheartened. Let's start with the positives. The quality of Black Sheep Coffee's offerings is unparalleled. From their meticulously crafted brews to their delectable pastries, each visit promises a sensory delight. Moreover, the ambiance of the café, nestled in the heart of Battersea, exudes an air of sophistication that is hard to resist. However, my enthusiasm is dampened by the recurring issue of prolonged wait times, despite utilizing their app for pre-orders and meticulously planning my visits. It's disheartening to stand in line for over 10 minutes, watching as my precious morning minutes slip away. What's worse, the frustration is compounded by the fact that they often fail to follow the order queue. I've witnessed instances where customers who ordered after me receive their coffee before me, despite my order being placed well in advance. This inconsistency in service efficiency is especially disappointing given the premium pricing of their offerings. It's not just about the wait—it's about the principle of efficient customer service. Moreover, the atmosphere of the café often feels strained, with the staff appearing visibly stressed and downtrodden. As a customer, it's difficult not to empathize with their plight, but it undeniably affects the overall vibe of the place. In a location as expensive and unique as Battersea, there's immense potential for Black Sheep Coffee to thrive. However, to fully capitalize on this opportunity, they must prioritize enhancing service efficiency and cultivating a positive work environment for their staff. Despite these challenges, I remain hopeful that Black Sheep Coffee will address these concerns and continue to strive for excellence. After all, the allure of their premium products and the charm of their location are undeniable.

Excellent location next to the Battersea power station and opens before the shops in the power station so was a good option for my morning coffee and breakfast. Their branding is what got me interested and this particular place has beautiful interiors with eye catching art work on all walls. There is seating inside as well as a few tables outside and it can get very busy on most days/times. There are three kiosks through which you can place orders and they have a good variety of breakfast, snacks, dessert and drinks options. You enter your name for the order and a staff member calls out your name once it is ready. We went there for the coffee and it doesn't disappoint - quite a few options to tailor your coffee based on your requirements from the size, coffee bean, milk, add-ons and I looked the final product (I got the mocha). The peanut butter and banana waffle looked and tastes good with us crunchy peanut butter and perfect banana ripeness. The waffle could have been toasted a bit more though. Coming to list of letdowns - first, the ham and cheese toastie was not up to the mark. The ham was perfect but the bread was not toasted enough and was soft and white underneath. For the price I pay, I would have liked a toastie to be perfect (like they do in Pret). Secondly, they somehow always ignore the request to provide coffee in their ceramic cups even if you explicitly request for it at the kiosk. Maybe it saves them the trouble of washing up but it's odd to give the option and then disregard it. I'll definitely be visiting them for coffee when I'm in the area but will probably skip the food menu. If you do get an available seat inside, it is well worth it to relax in here while sipping your coffee.

It feels like a McDonald's but the coffee and food is worse, with the exception of the waffle. I was incredibly disappointed with the coffee here, I sent it back twice but it was absolutely dreadful and verging on undrinkable. The smoothie was also overpriced and poorly made (partially unblended) For a brand that prides itself on coffee it was disappointing that it was so poor. I asked for a refund but was told that I have to email but it has been 3 days since emailing and they haven't even acknowledged so I guess I'm not getting the money back. I would not recommend you go here unless you just want a waffle. The coffee was undrinkable, the toasties was bland and cold and the smoothies are overpriced and poorly made (there were balls of unblended spinach at the bottom) and it only tasted of ginger. (Edit: they have since refunded me and are looking to improve the store so signs that they're committed to making it better which is good news and well communicated)

As a I local resident I visit this coffee shop on a daily basis to get my morning coffee and my desserts for my nephews. Firstly the pre- existing coffee shop The Coffee Works quality of coffee and food was exceptional in comparison! Such a shame it is no longer in that spot.

However, due to my love for coffee and lack of choice in this current time I have been going here. Mainly I am highly disappointed with how rude the staff are here. Every-time I have been here during the day I have felt extremely uncomfortable by the service the staff provide.

One in particular was yesterday which has lead me to ensure I never return to such a place. The main lady who is behind the till on the weekdays was extremely rude as I had my headphones in on a business call and could not hear her say my card had not gone through. The way she went about it was so unprofessional and a highly humiliating experience. As someone who has helped family run business in this same field I have never spoken to a customer in such a way. The staffing, quality and the slow service there is an absolute joke. In this current state there are so many expiring coffee shop owners like the previous coffee shop there. It is such a shame it been filled up by an...
