Cinema was ok. Unfortunately they've brought in unfriendly practices.
This cinema has taken the really unpopular step of stopping people bringing any food or drink in from outside apart from 'water and hot drinks'.
Need to take food for a complex dietary need? Only food from the kiosk it seems because no food is allowed.
Diabetic? Better pop over to shop and buy some sweets there because you're needs don't seem to be welcome here based on these kinds of signs.
Bringing a family with kids to the cinema to enjoy their day but can't stretch to paying the hefty prices for drinks or snacks on top of the cinema tickets? You might as well not bother going because there's no concessions on that sign for difficult circumstances or the cost of living.
This is an ignorant policy. Other cinema chains don't ban cold food or non alcoholic drinks.
And no doubt the reply to this comment from the marketing team will be trying to half explain they need to make more money off us over and above the nearly £20 ticket price to stay afloat.
Please don't use the "we need to make ends meet" excuse on here to justify this or I'll have to post the publicly available link of your companies house page and we can agree what your company accounts...
Read moreAn absolutely thrilling experience viewing a re-run of Top Gun Maverick in Dolby Cinema. I believe it’s the first independent Dolby Cinema site in the world! Amazing.
The venue has the privilege of being located inside the wonderfully restored Battersea Power Station. I have visited their boutique cinema in the Arches at the complex and I have always been a fan of their cinemas but the newly opened Dolby Cinema is pure magic.
The sound is absolutely out of this world and the picture is stunning. I can compare this to the Dolby Cinema Odeon in Leicester Square and this venue beats it hands down. Far better seats ensuring a brilliant view even for shorter customers. Amazingly dark so you can really experience the contrast visually and totally immersive and clean sound that makes you feel the audio but doesn't deafen you.
Five out of five stars seems stingy to be honest. I just wish I could give it more. I left this beautiful venue last night with a grin on my face! We will be seeing Avatar in 3D tomorrow....

Highly recommend the powerststion though as it's about £7 or £8 cheaper than the Dolby screens in West End and in some ways superior (minus the recliner). Auditorium was also bigger than screen 2 - sat in Row E which might seem far forward but it was perfect for both sound and immersiveness!
Screen 2: The Dolby atmos sound was excellent, projection was sharp and clear (not quite Dolby vision) seats were very comfy with sufficient leg room (I'm 5'6/5'7), being more of a luxury/ high end cinema the snacks were surprisingly (marginally) cheaper than you'd except. It's nicely designed, walls have images from classic movies so you really do feel like you're walking down memory lane as you head to your screen and the montage they show of the powerstation being featured in movies at the end of trailers etc...
