This place gets a lot of hype online. Endlessly reading its the best burger in London. It may be the marketing team doing an amazing job. Anyway, I’m a sucker hype so had to give it a go.
Pretty pared back interior to the joint, very little effort put in but that’s fine. Time to order….you’ll need a lot of time to order because their self service monitors are the worst I’ve ever used. Are they powered by Windows 85 or something? Sooooo slow. Took me ten taps to get any screen to change. Five minutes after starting I’d finally ordered a burger, fries and a coke. I mean jeez, it’s a pretty standard order.
Food took 5-10 minutes to be prepared. Time to dive in and eat. I went for the cheeseburger as the advertised picture of the double cheeseburger looked enormous. Oh, that was a mistake. The patty tasted reasonable, absolutely nothing memorably great about it but it was fine. It was also tiny. Really tiny. Highlight of the meal was surprisingly the angry (?) house fries. Nice sauces. The fork for the chips was pretty much made of paper. It crumbled to pieces on contact with the first chip. Love paper forks. Great thinking guys.
Now let’s get to the crux. It was a reasonable burger, with nice chips. No reason not to return I suppose. Wrong. £17 (SEVENTEEN POUNDS). No thanks. Well done for robbing me once, I learned my lesson. Thieves operate in this restaurant. They’re very slow working thieves, it’ll take five minutes to take your money but be aware, it’s very slow...
Read moreKnowing that they use only the best grass-fed beef that is dry-aged for 40 days and winning the National Burger of the Year 2024, I had to try it.
Disappointed in other UK burgers, I was happily surprised with the Cheeseburger which housed a thin but juicy and flavourful beef patty between a specially designed bun with sesame seeds on both sides of the bread! No frills and not complicated by overdoing ingredients - this burger is elite!
I also tried the Blue Burger in the hope that it was just as good but it just didn't compare to the OG burg that has put these guys on the map. For me the sauce was just too runny and super salty against the already salted beef patty. Not a bad burger, just not as good!
The Angry Fries are again super salty with the hot sauce but loved them all the same. They go great with the Cheeseburger (which in my opinion is viral for good reason) but maybe not so with the Blue Burger. Would love them to be thinner with the ability to add cheese and onion and more remincient of the In-and-Out variety but that's personal preference.
What I love the most is that they want and listen to all feedback, they then execute and they deliver a great feed, made greater in the fact that it's all cooked fresh - a true commitment...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of visiting Bleecker at London Bridge, and I must say—it lived up to all the hype and more! I was invited by Giann, and it was truly worth the visit to what I can confidently call the best burger place in town.
The star of the show? Their double cheeseburger. It’s nothing short of perfection! The beef patties were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of smokiness. The cheese melted seamlessly, adding a creamy richness to every bite, and the bun tied everything together—soft but sturdy enough to hold all that deliciousness. Honestly, it’s a flavor explosion you simply can’t miss.
Beyond the incredible burger, the service was exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. They ensured that every detail was taken care of, making you feel truly valued as a customer.
Thank you, Giann, for introducing me to this gem. If you’re looking for the ultimate burger experience, make your way to Bleecker at London Bridge. You won’t be disappointed! Highly...
