Two weeks ago i went with 4 friends to simmons on liverpool street and it was super fun, today, friday 13/05, I decided with a friend to go to simmons again but this time we wanted to go to another one to meet and we went to the monument, we arrived around 4:20 we were the first customers, we ordered our drinks a pot of tea and we were drinking quietly, until about 20 minutes later a blonde with almost no teeth, simply put a plate that said “reserved” and left, we looked at the plate and we continued drinking because she had not said anything, she just put the plate on the table and left, after about 15 minutes she came to ask us to leave because the table was reserved, if the table was reserved “before” we sat down We weren't going to sit there so I asked why she didn't tell us BEFORE we sat down, she just said that she had put that plate on for 15 minutes and that we had to leave the table, completely rude, she didn't ask please, she simply said that that we would have to leave at that moment, he didn't even offer to help us with the drink, I was super embarrassed about the situation and we left, we ordered another drink just because we were already there and my friend wanted to try another pot of tea (the waiters were super nice by the way and I didn't want to include them in this complaint), almost 35 minutes passed, I was waiting for another group of friends and my husband was the first to arrive and he was wearing sweatpants, jordan and a t-shirt print, he was just like a normal person, he was young and the same toothless blonde who was now at the door said he "didn't have the dress code" to get in, as if he was dressed like a homeless man, my husband had just left work for a few beers with some friends in a place much more expensive than simmons and had no problem with his clothes which again there was nothing too much was a new common outfit like any other when we went to simmons on liverpool street he was wearing the same style of clothing as he is head chef of a restaurant and doesn't need to be wearing fancy clothes to work and we had no problem with that this woman managed to completely ruin our night this was completely humiliating i do not recommend monument simmons at all, we decided to meet our other friends elsewhere, simmons will never have our visit again and hope there is at least one conversation with this woman this is not the way to treat customers it was demeaning never wrote a bad review like this one and it was the first time i felt so bad in a place, i won't recommend it to...
Read moreWhat was initially a great night out turned into my friend and I leaving because a member of staff made us feel incredibly uncomfortable and the security did not do enough to rectify it at the time. My friend was verbally harassed by a member of staff in a case of what we can only assume as mistaken identity, or they (the staff member) were intoxicated. Their behaviour left my friend in floods of tears.
We had been in Simmons for a couple of hours, we had had a great time and were nearing leaving - then, unexpectedly, a female member of staff bumped into my friend as she walked past us and told my friend that she was being watched in a threatening tone. If the staff at Simmons had had an actual issue with my friend (who was doing nothing apart from dancing in her own space) then they should have told her more formally and made it clear to me too, rather than muttering something at her in a threatening tone - my friend should have been approached by a manager and not the bar staff. My friend had done absolutely nothing untoward, so we went outside to find the member of staff because she had clearly approached the wrong person. I found the member of staff outside who had spoken to my friend and when she saw me she smirked at me, rolled her eyes and then barged past us and went back inside. My friend started getting distressed and spoke to security to see if they could help us to communicate with the member of staff and clarify she was speaking to the wrong person, and they were dismissive. By the end of the conversation we were promised some form of apology or explanation – we are 28 and 30, we both work in London but we do not go out in this area ever and what was meant to be a special night was completely tarnished by a rude member of staff who seemed to want to pick a fight with a...
Read moreI came in for to join my girlfriend and her friends at hers BIRTHDAY celebration I’ve just finished my 12hr shift and politely went to the bar and asked for a drink Top floor tall blond hair bartender had informed me that this bar is closed and I’ll have to go downstairs, once i did approach the barmaid downstairs she also told me the bar is closed Then proceeded to serve another customer I just went upstairs to join the group I was with, and the same tall bartender threw a tantrum that APPARENTLY I’ve been rude so I’ve been trying to defuse a situation and reached my hand to apologise what you can see on CCTV (and please do as I have not done anything apart of being refused to serve, without any explanation nor bar being shut) Then I’ve been confronted by the same bartender that I’ve done something wrong and he was nearly ready to attack me and I’ve felt unsafe indoors in a place in town which is OUTRAGEOUS
all of my girlfriends friends were feeling uncomfortable. On top of the fact that they’ve spend money at your venue you made 5innocent girls feel bad about them being there
What on the bloody earth that bar person think to be that rude to a random stranger without any reason to be that way
It ruined my girlfriend’s birthday and my end of the day when I must’ve politely joined after my all day shift, not even mentioning remaining of the group
If you have bar staff that TEADY to serve customers you really should consider retaking the staff training because that won’t bring you anything good but reviews like that
Kind...
