Cafe Barca — Restaurant in London

If I did a one word review "wholesome" or the Portuguese equivalent of that. It's not everyday you go to a cafe which is a cornerstone of the Portuguese community in West London and this is it. The food is generally really good. I have been there 3 times in the past 3 weeks. The English breakfast is definitely in the top 5 breakfast in London, great ingredients and portions. The breakfast panini...is amazing and a good hearty size. Peri peri chicken is incredible, it's probably going to be my weekend regular amazing. I almost walked away with five stars on this one because the food tastes amazing but they charge more than was on the menu. I ordered a baguette and they put chips on the plate which I didn't ask for but I assumed they were part of the price because there was only a few chips but I later found out after paying the bill that they add an extra £2 for the chips. myself and a friend bought two baguettes between us so the cost was £4 more than we budgeted for and when I complained about it they replied by saying that we agreed to the chips and when I said that they never told me it was extra money for the chips they said that that was my problem for not...

Friendly local cafe on the main road, a short walk from the Apollo and Tube stations. Was greeted by the owner as soon as I walked in, which made me feel welcome. Friendly service. It looks to be popular with locals as people chatted to staff whilst waiting for food. Food is a range of sandwiches, pastas, grills and daily specials, at reasonable prices.
