Absolutely blown away by our experience at Pho in Canary Wharf! I was recommended this place by a friend, and I must say—it completely exceeded my expectations.
The atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant. The food - Incredible. Every dish was bursting with rich, authentic flavours—fresh, fragrant, and absolutely delicious. I was especially impressed with the depth of the broths and how every bite seemed to get better and better. It’s rare to find somewhere that nails flavour so perfectly, and Pho did just that.
The service was another highlight. Cam, the Assistant Manager, truly made the quick meal special. He was warm, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot on, and you could tell he genuinely cared about our experience. When he found out someone in our party was celebrating a birthday, he went out of his way to make it memorable with a thoughtful personal touch. It’s that kind of service that turns a great meal into an unforgettable one.
The only downside was actually finding the place, the reception around Canary Wharf isn’t great, and it took a bit of wandering around before we located it. But once we did, it was 100% worth the effort.
All in all, I couldn’t recommend Pho Canary Wharf more highly—delicious food, top-tier service, and a team that really goes the extra mile. We'll...
Read moreI used to eat at Pho elsewhere in London and it was always nice, can’t really say the same for this branch in Canary Wharf.
Service: waited for 2 minutes to be seated (restaurant was less than half full), waited another 15 minutes before someone came to take our order, then waited for almost 30 minutes before our food arrived. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy and one customer actually left without paying when his food arrived (waited too long). We almost did the same until one waiter noticed we have been sitting for a long time. The kitchen and the waitresses seemed to solely focus on takeaway orders and forgot those dine-ins customers.
Food: we ordered bun noodle and the sauce was flat. The vinegar was so diluted it’s almost tasteless.
Atmosphere: customers were confused as they were sitting there for a long time with no one taking their orders. During that 30 minutes waiting for our food I only saw around 4 pho noodles served to customers, nothing else but bags after bags of take away were sent out.
I have to give it to the waiter who chased our order as after he started chasing, a lot more food were served to those dine-in customers. However, that’s 30 minutes too long.
I am very disappointed as Pho is one of my favourite restaurants in London. I would probably still go to Pho but it wouldn’t be the one in Canary...
Read moreUpdated version: I went to Pho with my 4-month-old baby in a pushchair and my wife on 24 July 2024 at 1930. Half of the tables were empty. The waitress came and told us we could not sit at certain tables due to their company policy. Later, I politely asked one of the customers to change seats with us, and they accepted. Immediately after, the manager, Tom, came and warned us that we are not allowed to ask other customers to change seats. I explained to him, very politely, that we had already spoken to one of their team members and had simply asked for a change. The manager then "!!!politely!!!" asked us to leave the store. I felt threatened by the words and attitudes of the manager, so we left the store. This behavior is not acceptable under any conditions. I will also raise a complaint with Pho.
I was informed by Pho General Manager - Iwona that this is their company policy, they didn't even apologize for the incident, never ever Pho!!! I am attaching the email correspondance I received from Pho here, it is a clear evidence of the restaurant's...
