Just had my lunch from Lemongrass Kitchen. This is the 2nd time visiting them - i decided that I should give them another try! On my first visit, I ordered the prawn katsu, chicken katsu and dumplings - all of which were nice but came to over £7 for what amounts to a prawn on a stick, a few (literally) bits of chicken breast, 2 dumplings and a thimbleful of soy sauce - not very good value i'd say. On my visit today, I bought the spicy chicken with egg fried rice. The food was presented really well in a nice little folding box - but the box had almost disintegrated by the time I got back to the office (5 mins away) - possibly due to the bucket-load of gravy that was put on the rice - maybe the boxes should've been coated with plastic or something inside to prevent this?! The rice was ok - but a bit sloppy - possibly because of the gravy drowning. The chicken was also ok - a bit dry and chewy but did not live up at all to its 'Spicy' title - the food was not well seasoned as I have come to expect from asian restaurants (and not because of the msg) and was quite 'fresh' tasting which is not what I was looking for - or expecting for the best part of a tenner. Apparently the sushi is brill - I wish I had that instead! I think that Lemongrass has proved that we are not suitable when it comes to lunch dates so I will not be going there again, but it may appeal to those who prefer their food with less...
Read moreThey mistook my order then blamed me and upon requesting refund TOLD ME TO NEVER COME BACK.
Details: Despite the consistently dismal customer service, I kept visiting this establishment due to its proximity to my building given that I have a very limited time for lunch. However, today's encounter was the final straw. Upon requesting a corn starched chicken portion, I was served sweet and sour chicken instead. When I politely requested a correction, the manager responded with hostility, implying that the fault lay with me, begrudgingly agreeing to rectify the error before storming off in a huff. Subsequently, because of his remarks about me, I sought a refund, the manager handed me the cash and TOLD ME TO NEVER COME BACK.
The manager, a middle-aged, lean Asian man, epitomises the abysmal customer service at this establishment. His perpetual scowl and inability to effectively communicate with customers are glaring indicators of his poor attitude. Despite the promotion of loyalty cards, his attitude suggests disdain when stamping them, and replacements are only provided upon request, demonstrating a lack of regard for customer satisfaction.
Although this was one of my very few options due to my brief lunch break, the unacceptable treatment I've endured here has finally compelled me to explore alternative dining options. I unequivocally pledge to never set my foot in this...

I’ve had my fair share of Thai food, but this place absolutely blew me away. Everything we ordered was incredible—flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. We got the Thai Red Curry, Chicken Fried Rice, Pad See Ew, Panang Curry, and Tom Yum Soup, and every single dish was a standout.
The Thai Red Curry was rich, aromatic, and had the perfect level of heat. The Chicken Fried Rice was simple but unbelievably satisfying—savory, well-seasoned, and not greasy at all. The Pad See Ew had that ideal smoky flavor with tender noodles and crisp veggies. The Panang Curry was creamy, bold, and comforting, and the Tom Yum Soup was bursting with tangy, spicy goodness—refreshing and warming at the same time.
The portions were generous, everything was still hot when it arrived, and the packaging kept it all fresh and intact. You can really taste the care and quality in every bite.
This isn’t just good takeout—it’s restaurant-level food brought straight to your door. I’ll be ordering...
