Worst customer service ever– rude, obnoxious, aggressive, manager

It started well, very friendly waiter, the menu looked just like what we were looking for (a snack/brunch) at a reasonable price. The food arrived very quickly (perhaps too quickly to have been cooked fresh). My toasted sandwich was average, looked as if it had been warmed up but was not bad enough to send back. My sister’s food however, (scrambled eggs on toast with bacon) whilst it looked o.k. and was a generous portion, tasted “off” perhaps like old oil or cooked in a greasy oven. The scrambled eggs had been done in a microwave and the bacon was stiff and brittle.

She called the waiter over and explained that she was not really happy with her food and that it had an odd taste. The waited said he would speak to the manager and returned to say that she would have to take her own plate inside the restaurant to discuss it with the manager!! Have you ever been asked to do that in a restaurant? Anyway, she was in there some time so I thought I had better go and see if all was well – it wasn’t, the manager was arguing with her, being very aggressive and my sister told me that he had shovelled handfuls of the food in his mouth to prove that there was nothing wrong with it! She explained calmly that she was just giving feedback, was not asking for a refund. He said there was nothing wrong with it but he would recook it but she didn’t want to risk that. She said she would just have a croissant or something instead so at least she had eaten but he said she couldn’t have that!!!

Realising we were getting nowhere and no wanting to spoil our day any further, we left.

This place could be so much better. It has a prime location and probably keeps going because it is a tourist trap. If you have a coffee and a bun or something not cooked by them then you would probably really enjoy it, the coffee was in fact very good. However, if you have reason to complain be ready for some abuse from the horrible manager!

This man is in...

We came in for breakfast with our new born baby. We asked where the toilets were as we needed to change him and were told that they were closed. We suggested to the waitress we would just change the baby on the table as there was no alternative, we were not near any other diners- she agreed that was fine. As we were in the middle of changing the baby the manager aggressively started berating us and just told us to get out. He was really aggressive and over bearing and I don’t know what my wife would have done had she been on her own. His own wife tried to tell him to calm down - clearly more understanding of our situation but he was rude to her as well. We pointed out that we at least needed to put the nappy back on the baby and given how cold it was and put some clothes back on him before we went out. He started shouting at us, telling us that it wasn’t his problem and made my wife cry - things are hard enough as a new mother. He asked us why we had even come in and suggested we had no intention of even purchasing anything. Once we had got our selves back together, we tried to reset and suggested we should draw a line under the interaction and order some food. He just refused to serve us through sheer petulance so can’t comment on whether the food’s any good, but my wife was clearly not able to breastfeed here either. Aggressive and...

Went here with my sister and family for a lunchtime snack. We had a drink and the waitress was very nice and polite and helpful. When we came to order food my partner has a problem with what he can eat and we asked for a sandwich to be plain but the food is pre done and then warmed up so this was not possible. There were two men taking the order one was very unfriendly and seemed to just grunt and the other one said you “Jesus you are a nightmare” to my partner because he was finding it difficult to find anything he could eat as he doesn’t eat diary food. In the end they made us a plain ham sandwich but my son who has autism who has a similar problem had to go without anything. I challenged the man about his comment about being a nightmare and he said he was only joking but it was humiliating in front of other people. I just wonder what would happen if people had food allergies. I have also read some of the existing reviews and the say about bad customer service as well. Not a very nice...

The Cafe looks good but the Food and Service is bad. From walking in and having some Waiter 'barking' at us for walking in the wrong door (if you don't want people to use it, lock it or put a SIGN ON IT) To the quality of food 👎, I ordered a Croque Monsieur, what arrived had cold cheese in it and I do mean COLD (like it had just come out of a Fridge 🤢) The Cheese they use wasn't Gruyère, instead it was some cheap greasy Cheddar, and there was no Mustard Mayo either - the thing was just a greasy mess and fowl tasting..👎 I asked them to fix it and I received a miserable response from them. Just avoid, there's plenty of better places to eat around there...

So we went there with my family, saw a table and sat to order food. To my surprice the manager started to be very rude and asked us not to seat and was addressing us in a ill mannered way saying to order first. When I asked him politely to not be rude he started shouting at me and my family, my kids who were 8 years old and 11 years old were traumatized. And I could clearly see the rudeness was due to my racial differences as other people with similar mistakes were treated differently. I reported them to the property manager, us embasy and police. Stay away from these racist people and dont ruin your day.

The waiter was extremely rude from the moment we came in. Was not even busy. He made us feel very unwelcome. The final drop was when we tried to order a wet capuchino and he told my friend's mum that 'a capuchino is a capuchino. No blue, purple or anything strange'. He just mocked her! At that point we left. Totally rude, talking in a condescend manner to a lady with her grand children. Customer care training is needed in that place...urgently. What an embarrassment for London hospitality!
