I’m not one to make complaints, however I believe it is necessary so that it doesn’t happen to any other customers.
I had booked a table for 4 at 7:30pm to celebrate my graduation. When we entered the bar everyone was in good spirits and were admiring the view whilst we waited to be shown to our table. Once we got to the table we had to wait for the waitress to move people who had sat there, which is fine, these things happen. However, after we sat down we were given no direction on how to order or any menus. I had to flag the waiter down 10mins after we had sat down to see some menus and ask how we could order, he told us that he would take our order once we were ready. Once we were ready to order it took a while to flag down the waiter but once we did he took our order, we had ordered the frozen cocktails, a beer and some food. The food came out pretty quickly but there was no sign of our drinks, we let 20/25mins go by as we understand cocktails can take some time to make however, we were never given any indication that the cocktails may take a while to come out.
After it had got to 30mins of the drinks not coming out we flagged down the waiter who told us the drinks would take another 10mins, even the beer. He offered us an alternative but as we were already frustrated we declined as we should have been told from the start or even part way through that cocktails were going to take a while. I asked for the bill as we no longer wanted the drinks and even to pay for the bill we had to walk over to the waitress so she could take the payment.
Whilst making the payment we noticed a waiter walking towards our empty table with our cocktails however the original waiter serving us told him to give them to another table for free. Whilst he was giving the cocktails to the other table he was laughing and joking about how we were leaving so wanted to give them the drinks. We asked him why he’d given the drinks away for free and he laughed and it was because we were leaving. I understand not wasting the drinks but there was no need to laugh in our faces that we were leaving, given that the only reason we were leaving was because the service was appalling.
I wanted to raise this incident as I hope no one else is ever made to feel the way we were as it really put damper on such...
Read moreAmazing apart from one BIG problem! We booked the bottomless brunch (Greek gods and goddesses theme) I saw the venue on Instagram and couldn’t wait to try it out! The brunch was mostly fabulous. The entertainers were amazing, the decor was gorgeous and the vibes were great. The BIG problem was you are pretty much kicked out straight after the brunch, no option to buy yourself a drink or anything it seems? Our experience was confusing because one member of staff told us we were welcome to stand at a high table and finish our drinks (we had a whole bottle of Prosecco left to drink) but then minutes later the bouncer was rushing us and other parties out, the bouncer even followed us to the smoking area and started to physically move us out ‘you have to get out’ he insisted and started to push my cousin towards the exit. Now I know what you’re thinking, ‘hmm probably two rowdy girls, they were most likely causing trouble anyway’ but I can promise we were simply having a quiet chat, sipping our drinks peacefully, making no trouble at all, soaking in the atmosphere and the sunshine. I wouldn’t be writing this review if I thought it was fair that we were kicked out. We’ve booked many bottomless brunches and this is the only venue I’ve ever been to where customers aren’t welcome to stay and pay for their own drinks after the brunch is over. I’m so gutted because it’s such a beautiful venue, but we left feeling embarrassed, confused and a bit intimidated by the bouncer. Pop in for a cocktail, but for brunch, take your money elsewhere. I would recommend Nikki’s bar, SinTillLate Farringdon, and Tonight Josephine. All these venues have the same level of entertainment, are generous with the drinks and most importantly, make you feel welcome to stay after. I recall that Niki’s bar offered a half price cocktail deal or something of that nature to encourage...
Read moreI saw this restaurant being recommended to me on Instagram by an influencer, and maybe then I should’ve known that this was not going to be a great experience.
The staff was extremely rude and callous, and argued behind us about one of them trying to leave early the entire time that we were eating.
The one exception, a very sweet server who was actually trying to take our order, had to suffer through another server complaining behind us and interrupting both her and me constantly to argue with her. I couldn’t tell if I felt worse for the server or myself for being in that situation.
The food was also not great. Everything we ordered arrived cold and soggy. The charcuterie board was practically a joke and didn’t have anything on it other than some wet rocket leaves and cheap salami.
The garlic corn ribs were also cold and so greasy that biting into them was a textural challenge.
The drinks, for their price point and how they’re presented on the menu, don’t taste very nice either.
Beyond that, every time we wanted to order, we had to go downstairs to pay despite the fact that there was a paying station upstairs that they were simply not using.
Also, if your table is at the space upstairs rather than the main area, you can be sure that you’re not going to be be enjoying most of the atmosphere they’re advertising as the music doesn’t make its way upstairs, and neither does the good service or food apparently.
Overall, extremely disappointed with this establishment and wouldn’t recommend...
