Creams Cafe — Restaurant in London

"I recently visited Creams Cafe in Putney, and it was an absolute delight. The cafe had a lovely, cozy atmosphere with comfortable seating and beautiful decor. The menu had a fantastic range of sweet and savory options, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive.

I ordered their signature waffles with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, and I have to say, it was one of the best desserts I've ever had. The waffles were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the strawberries were incredibly fresh and sweet. The whipped cream was light and creamy and complemented the waffles perfectly. I also tried their cappuccino, and it was the perfect balance of strong coffee and creamy milk.

The prices were very reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous. The cafe was very clean and well-maintained, and the staff adhered to all COVID-19 safety guidelines. Big shock coming to this place. I live locally and thought we would try this place for the first time.

Where to start:

Customer service: everyone we saw looked as if they were sick of working at this place and spoke with an annoyed tone.

Product quality: ice cream was served already half melted. Also, it looked nothing like the picture and had things missing. When we highlighted that fact, they picked our ice creams up and begrudgingly took them back. No sorry and no explanation. The ice cream was very artificial and not nice at all. It’s not cheap either so you would think it’s at least good quality.

Hygiene: the shop itself looked dirty and unclean. The menu looked as if a child had spread ice cream all over them.

It’s a shame as we had high hopes...

I came to collect an order from Deliveroo for a customer on the Deliveroo app. The employees simply closed the entire store and did not give any explanation, just keeping the bag outside. Have you ever stopped to think if someone decides to put poison in it and I, as a driver, take it and harm a family's life? This is not done. I took the photo because I myself could not believe what my eyes were seeing. The bag was without any protection. Anyone could have access to it and could steal the order. And what would happen to me, as a worker?! Unacceptable. Even worse, you did not accept us collecting without a bag, but the employee left the order outside in the cold, right? Pure hypocrisy!!!! Very sad...
