Decided to visit yesterday on spec having browsed the many places to eat in Greenwich and were so glad we did. There were four of us and we were offered a table straight away. We chose the garlic bread with mozzarella to start and shared two between the four of us which was plenty. Lovely sourdough base, beautiful fresh tomatoes and garlic and mozzarella. We all agreed it was the best we've had. The pizzas that followed were equally delicious. The ingredients all taste so fresh and on the reverse of the menu you can read where all the ingredients are sourced which is a really good touch. Four of us, two courses each and two of us also had wine, bill came to around £60 inc 10% service charge so excellent value too. Only slight criticism was the lighting in the toilets is very low! Had to use phone torch to see where we were going! Can see this could be an issue if you have young children to see to.Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend and will be returning next time we visit the area.

Not a bad place in busy Greenwich. I started with a bowl of green olives and a pale ale. The olives where fresh, not to briney and the pale ale was very refreshing for being out on a hot day. Then followed with their version of a Margarita pie which was nice and crusty with a suttle sourdough tang. I did not order a dipping sauce for my crust but wish I did. My only complaint is the pie needed more than the two leaves of basil it had on it. But the British mozzarella and the tomato sauce made up for it. Olive oil, balsamic vinegar and pepper ginder where on the table to add to the pie as to your licking. A very nice meal on a busy day. Note to Americans; service in Britian is slower than the states so be patient. I was seated to my table quickly, but service did take a bit of time. However, compared to other places I have been to in Greenwich and London, the service was excellent. Highly recommend stopping here if you are in this part of London.

I recently visited Franco Manco in Greenwich with a group of 8 friends for lunch. Upon arrival, we were informed by the waitress that we should have called ahead to make a reservation because we were a large group, even though the restaurant was nearly empty, which didn’t make much sense. As a student, I use Unidays to get discounts, so I opted for the pizza and wine deal priced at £11.95. However, when the bill arrived, it was £17.65. I spoke with the manager, Valentina, who said the system showed this amount and she couldn’t do anything about it except apologize. After several minutes of negotiation and with other customers calling her over, she finally agreed to charge the original price of £11.95. I advise caution when dining at this pizzeria. Make sure to double-check your bill to ensure you are not being overcharged, and don’t settle for apologies for poor service.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Service, Unhygienic Practices, and Rude Our experience at this restaurant was so poor that I felt compelled to warn others. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. We were not allowed to choose our own table, despite the restaurant being far from full. Instead, we were placed at a cramped table unsuitable for four people, with the excuse that the other tables were "reserved"—even though there were no reservation signs and no one came to sit there during our visit. It seemed blatantly obvious that they were just trying to herd everyone into one section for their own convenience.

The staff were cold and unwelcoming. No smiles, no engagement—just blank stares and disinterest. Their attire was completely inappropriate for a restaurant setting. One of the staff members was wearing gym clothes and kept absentmindedly stroking his long beard, which I found extremely unhygienic—especially considering he was also serving food and clearing plates.

To make matters worse, the restaurant itself was not clean. A table that had clearly been vacated before we arrived was left filthy for ages, with food all over the floor that people were walking on. Staff walked past it repeatedly without care. They seemed more interested in chatting by the counter than actually tending to customers or the cleanliness of the space.

When we ordered wine, it was served in standard water glasses. I politely asked why they didn’t serve wine in proper wine glasses, and the waitress rudely replied, “If you don’t like it, I can take it away, no problem.” That kind of attitude is beyond unacceptable.

I also questioned one of the staff about his role—he first told me he was the manager, then changed his story and said he was the supervisor. It left me questioning whether anyone was actually in charge or if anyone there knew what they were doing.

The entire experience was chaotic, unprofessional, and frankly, unpleasant. Between the rudeness, the hygiene concerns, and the overall lack of care, I would strongly advise others to steer clear of this place. It's definitely one of the worst dining experiences...

Franco Manca Greenwich My wife ordered a pizza for herself and a starter for me, and she asked for it to arrive at the same time, and my pizza was to arrive 10 minutes after. After 30 minutes, it was evident that Antonio had forgotten my pizza. My wife attracted Luciano's attention and asked him where my pizza was. His reply was, "do you want it or not"? When I asked if it was ready or not, he said that Antonio had forgotten to order it and that he would bring the email address for me to log a complaint. Not even an apology... I asked him to let Antonio bring the email address and to explain what had happened as the restaurant was not very busy. 15 minutes later my wife attracted the attention of another waitress and asked for the bill. I noticed that Antonio had his coat on already and seemed to be ready to leave. I went over to his table and asked why he had not come over to explain what had happened. It turns out that Luciano had not spoken to him at all. Antonio was our server, yet he never came to our table to check on us or bring our meal. When I asked Luciano why he did not pass on the message to Antonio, he just shrugged his shoulders. When I asked how stupid one has to be to forget an order in a half empty restaurant, Antonio assaulted me by forcibly ejecting me from the restaurant, adding that it was late and they were tired. I told him that he was in the wrong business if he did not have the stamina or professionalism for the job, he should work elsewhere...and then again, he assaulted me by forcing me out on the street. Why are these unprofessional and dishonest thugs working in a Greenwich restaurant? 1 star is too generous on this occasion...and no dinner for me! Rude thugs for staff, poor service, no customer service. Search "Franco Manca" at TrustPilot to read all the bad reviews. How is this chain still in business and how does one close...

The Manager Antonio actually argued with me in the street! Great pizza, not so great service! Go next door to Buffalo’s!

We went here as a family meal for our daughters 11th birthday. We were greeted with a very unfriendly waitress who advised us that she could not seat us due to having no available tables, however there were 3 tables available and seeing as you cannot prebook we found this odd but we waited. Once seated, we asked if the manager who seated us would mind taking my daughters surprise cake & bringing it out at the end. The manager told us he could not do this as he sold cake & therefore could not do this. After being met with the initial hostility & then feeling like a further burden we decided we should find another place to eat. As we were leaving the manager decided to follow us out of the restaurant asking why we were leaving, in which we explained we wanted to find another restaurant who would feel happy to bring out the cake. The MANAGER stood outside and argued with me & my partner for a solid 10 mins shouting and being rather aggressive many people in the high street were staring and also witnessed this. I could not believe that this was actually happening, and after asking Antonio why he felt the need to continue the conversation as we just wanted a nice evening out & just wanted to find somewhere to have a nice meal he continued to get angry shouting at us telling us he was very busy & short staffed. I genuinely could not believe how it escalated into such a drama, I have never seen anything quite like it! We ended up walking away from him as he didn’t want to stop with the conversation. We ended up going next door to Buffalo’s (not pizza) but we actually had a great evening with such amazing food & service. I think Antonio could pay them a visit to learn some customer...
