I ordered my birthday cake from here despite the negative reviews. The pictures online were super cute, plus they offered delivery so I thought I would give it a chance.

Overall, the design and flavour was great!

The design was pretty much as pictured online, so I was really happy about that! My friends also loved it and were shocked I found something so cute! I was anxious about getting it delivered, but it made it in perfect condition.

I ordered Victoria sponge for the inside and we were all impressed with the flavour as well. I kept it refrigerated overnight for my party the next day, and it was still incredible! The cake was nice and moist and had the perfect amount of raspberry jam. The buttercream was fluffy and not overly sweet. So delicious!!

The colour in person was definitely an off white/cream colour whereas the pictures on the website looked more white. I would have preferred it to be more white, but the colour option I ordered was "white/cream" so I guess it could go either way.

The only thing I was unhappy with was the "25" which was entirely uneven and uncentered. There was also a dark spot of icing where I'm assuming the numbers were scraped off to try and write them again. It was less noticeable when I put the candles on, but I expected more as it was only two numbers and I've honestly never seen bad writing on a cake before this.

The icing on the top of the cake could've also been smoothed out more, but it was far less noticeable than...

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY - 1 star is a generous rating!

My partner ordered a birthday cake for me as a surprise and we were both completely shocked at the quality of it when it arrived. I have never seen a cake so poorly done.

First, the cake was delivered outside of the agreed window, however, this was the least of the issues.

When my partner opened the cake, he was extremely disappointed as it looked nothing like the reference photos he had sent to the company despite being assured that they could execute the cake exactly. The colour was completely different and the craftsmanship horrendous (nothing like the quality depicted in the photos displayed on their website). He asked for a custom message on the cake which came in the form of a topper and an additional word that was again, very poorly executed and a completely different colour to the topper.

When we cut into the cake we found that the majority of it was buttercream (I use the term lightly as it tasted nothing like buttercream). He went for matcha flavour and the cake tasted nothing like matcha. There was also a random layer of jam in the middle of the cake which he didn't ask for which was sporadically placed and the cake layers were uneven and dry. On the base of the cake what should have been buttercream (to keep the cake in place on the board) was a huge splotch of chocolate. Again, chocolate wasn't specified on the order.

A very disappointing experience so needless to say, we do...

[Order no. 5638] Oh, how I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from this vendor! If the option was there, I'd give ZERO stars. First of all, the business needs to take down their offer on the capability of delivering orders the next day between the allocated times (11am-3pm) - they simply can not commit to this promise! I ordered the cupcakes worth £42, plus £5 for the Happy Birthday sign, plus £9 for shipping, plus leaving them a tip. REGRET! This was supposed to be a surprise and a special moment for my sister's birthday, who was visiting me in London on her holiday. After the courier collected the order from Freddie's, it was delivered 5 and a half hours later (after my sister and I had left home to head out for the night). The cupcakes arrived all smashed, the icing all over the box, all macarons broken into pieces, and the cupcakes were below average tasting. An absolute disappointment! A waste of £50+ money! The staff member (or business owner) said they'd refund me the shipping cost, but I beg your pardon - I want the ENTIRE cost refunded back to me! This establishment has left me feeling very bitter and frustrated. Going forward, I will always read reviews before ordering from...
