My review reflects a single visit to the café, so experiences may vary. Upon arrival, it seemed the café was noticeably understaffed with only two staff members present initially, and a third joining later. Surprisingly, patrons who arrived after me were attended to first. After a five-minute wait, a waiter approached me rather abruptly, asking, 'OK, what are you having?' Additionally, my cappuccino lingered at the till for five minutes before it was finally served to me. While I understand the café was moderately busy—at half capacity—I found the service somewhat brusque, especially given the high 12% service charge, which is more typical of upscale dining establishments. The food itself was mostly enjoyable. The full English breakfast featured exceptional hash browns and uniquely pleasing sausages. However, the toast was served without butter, which had to be requested separately. The cold-pressed orange juice, though outsourced, was delightful with no compromise on taste. The café's ambiance is spacious and inviting, boasting high ceilings, thematic chandeliers, and the standard furnishings of a breakfast-serving establishment. Despite the service hiccups, the atmosphere and food were solid.

I’ve just eaten one of the best English breakfasts I’ve EVER had (and I’ve eaten a lot!) in this Italian restaurant (lol) more or less opposite the British museum. Very difficult to find any fault at all to be fair, every part of it (sausage, bacon, eggs, hash browns, mushrooms, beans, tomato) were quality and perfectly cooked. Quantity was perfect for me and the price was very reasonable for the West End. The table I sat at could have been less ’sticky’ but that really is the only thing that I could fault with. Highly recommended!!!

The food took 45 minutes to show up after we ordered and IT WAS COLD! The place was not busy at all, they had plenty of people working who were just staring at us, It took them 30 minutes to bring us an old, cold slice of dried 'cake' and the other starter didn't show up until the meal - 45 minutes after we ordered. That starter was supposed to be focaccia bread, but what came was cold, yet burnt, focaccia croutons. French toast was cold and I had to search for any maple syrup and the only thing that was halfway decent was the Greek yogurt, which, I mean, how do you less that up you scoop it out of a bucket into a bowl and serve it at room temperature - right at their skill level. I had to walk up and ask for water and overall they were not pleasant. I wouldn't eat...

Fond memories of this place when I first visited 2 years ago. Great almond Croissants.

This time however major step down in quality. I had the salmon and Avocado panini whilst the presentation wasnt great and the portion size a tad small for the price. The food tasted great however which was a pleasant surprise.

One thing that was highly entertaining but concerning was observing a small mouse run around the floor of the seating area disturbing diners enjoying their breakfast. The staff on duty tried to sweep the poor creature away before it ran under a fridge and down some stairs.

Some more effort in food presentation would do the world of good for such...
