I have been on a quest to find the best ramen place in London and this was the last one on my list to try. I came on a Thursday afternoon around 5:30 for an early dinner as I had a musical performance to get to afterwards. It was empty apart from one occupied table outside and it was a hot day. The staff member who served me throughout was super friendly with a smile on her face. Being able to speak Korean I quickly realised they are all Koreans so I got to practice my speaking skills a little which was nice. I went with subdubu ramen as I love tofu and it goes well in tonkotsu broth and went with level 1 of spiciness after consulting the staff member who had told me that step 2 would be buldak level and step 3 would therefore be beyond that so I didn't want to risk my stomach tolerance. It's a really rich broth with plenty of chilli flakes to make it spicy and I absolutely adored it! The chashu was cooked to perfection and super tender. Both the tofu and noodle portions were very generous. Noodle wise I went with extra firmness but felt like it could have been more al dented personally. It's definitely a Korean take on Japanese ramen so don't expect it will taste exactly like how normal Japanese ramen would but I really liked the ramen I had. Was very surprised to see there's no service charge so for the price of £18 I would say it's reasonable given the portion size. Highly recommend this place and would definitely come back again!

Worst Ramen Experience! 😡 Rude Staff & Unhygienic! 🤢 I can't even begin to describe how appalling this ramen place in central London is! 🤬 I went with my family, including my little ones, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💀 First off, the place was packed, so we had to sit outside in the drizzling rain. ☔ My poor kids were shivering, but when I asked the staff if we could move inside when a table became free, they outright refused! 😠 The audacity! They even had the nerve to question why I wanted to move. 🤬 As if that wasn't bad enough, when our ramen finally arrived (after a 30-minute wait! ⏰), I noticed something off. Turns out, they had served us a bowl with leftovers from another customer's meal! 🤮 It's absolutely revolting and a complete hygiene hazard. 🦠 I'm warning all you parents out there, this place is an absolute no-go. They clearly don't give a toss about their customers, let alone kids. 🙅‍♀️ Save yourself the trouble and find a ramen spot that actually values hygiene and customer service. I've never been so disgusted and disappointed in a restaurant before. 🤢💔 Spare yourself the misery and avoid this place like the plague! 🚫🍜

Having lived in Japan and many other countries in the world, I'd say the ramen is alright. The chashu and soup was good, the ramen itself was so-so. The problem was really the dumplings (gyoza). They looked absolutely like steamed Chinese dumplings, whereas gyoza is always, always pan fry. These dumplings were served with chilli sauce like you would see from a dim sum joint. I asked for rice vinegar (so I could at least make my own sauce with soy sauce), the waitress shot us a dirty look like I just made the biggest joke on earth. Then she dropped off a bottle of white vinegar from Tesco 😯. I insisted politely it's rice vinegar we need or dark vinegar would do. She actually snapped back with a horrendous attitude saying "This isn't a Chinese place ok? We don't serve dumplings with vinegar". Seriously, the Japanese won't serve their dear gyoza steamed with Szechuan chilli sauce either?!?! I will never go back. Actually there is an Ippudo ramen joint a couple of blocks away, I would rather go there and have my real ramen and gyoza (cheaper as well).

This was a really terrible experience due to the appalling attitude and behaviour of the manager/owner of this restaurant.

I was visiting London from Sydney, Australia, and took my three children and mother for lunch at this venue after our visit to the British museum. We ordered four side dishes and three main courses to share between us.

The waitress was reluctant to give us an extra plate and bowl for us to share the food out on. It became apparent why when she went to the kitchen to get us these items and was scolded very publicly and loudly by the owner/manager for doing this. Unfortunately, she refused to then get us a plate. Given we had three children with us, it was reasonable of us to order what we did to share. However, the owner believed each child should have an individual starter and a main dish each, rather than us all sharing the sides/starters/dumplings and mains between us. I have never come across this before! In Sydney, we regularly eat ramen and it is custom to share dumplings between the family! The owner/was highly unprofessional, particularly when we asked to explain our situation to him and he shouted at us in front of the entire restaurant. Really appalling actually.

Additionally, some of the bowls they served food on were chipped and I believe this to be unhygienic.

The food was average, fairly mediocre and nowhere near as good as some of the ramen places we have eaten at in Sydney.

The food here is not reasonably priced, mediocre quality and the owner created a terrible, intimidating experience for us. I would not recommend at all, particularly if you are a...
