Well, where do I start? I will start chronologically in time order - Friday evening I downloaded their app to order for collection approximately 8.10pm. The app was efficient and easy to use, it gave me the order number via email and an estimate time of 8.45pm for collection. My concern was whether they had started preparing my order as no payment was taken during the order process, therefore we got to the location around 8.20pm. Phone call was made to check the status of the order around 8.30pm to which we were told to wait further 10-15 minutes, fair enough.
I decided to go into the kitchen at 8.45pm and mentioned my order number, they were still casually preparing this but it seemed very unorganised and they could not have been too busy as I saw the receipts hanging and my order was the longest order besides 3-4 other shorter receipts. I decided to pay as there was a crowd of youths gathering outside making the location very uncomfortable and unappealing.
After another 25-30 minutes wait we received our food. This whole process was exhausting and it took us over an hour. I admire the effort and concept but there seems to be lack of direction and kitchen experience, no organisation of who is dedicated to deal with what, everyone is doing everything scrambling to get the orders out the door. I would highly recommend training as even on a Friday night around peak dinner period they were not overly stretched regardless of them claiming to be busy. They are a closed business in a unit so they should have an easy experience of not having to deal with customers eating in as well.
Now onto the food, we paid £88 for this after a promotional 10% code, so if you are planning this to be a family meal expect to be paying extortionate rate for these burger meals (even if it is Wagyu). I will let the pictures tell the story. Burnt chicken tenders (9), they were so chargrilled and red almost turned into Tandoori chicken strips, few tasted decent but again no one attended to it and let it overcook. The "hand cut fries" were awful, I mean for the money they are charging we should not be eating such fries and it actually tasted sweet so I am unsure whether they confused it with sweet potato fries, just look at how thin these fries are. You could combine 2 of those single fries and they will make the size of 1 McDonald's fries - they were too thin for everyone liking. The Wagyu burgers were not too bad, not spectacular but it had good flavour and did not have weird smell or taste to it. Burgers were thick and filling so quality overall on the burgers was not too bad, the time taken to make these burgers will create a problem for those who like their burger's hot or warm, all our burger's were not even warm and we live 7-8 minutes away from Ghost Burgers.
If you want to experience Ghost Burgers make sure you have plenty of time before you get peckish as there were many other customers given inaccurate times for collection and were told to return later. I will not return to Ghost Burgers again as there are many other better options around.
My overall personal rating would be 4/10 and Google...
Read moreI waited a whoooollle week for this meal! While it was very good, I perhaps should have gone as a blank slate, rather than with very high expectations, having heard excellent ratings from other people and waiting a week in anticipation. Ordering in advance is a must - the waiting times for walk-ins are pretty long, especially at weekends when you could be waiting 2 hours to then be told they're not taking orders (learnt that lesson last Saturday!) You're then called when the order is ready and you have the option to pay by card or cash on collection (or you can pay online). First off, the PACKAGING. Incredible. In this lockdown era, they thought outside the (ordinary takeaway) box and brought us a neat and tidy, car-friendly takeaway box that opens up on your lap like a little table. Let me not even talk too much on the drinks pouch that gave me childhood, Capri-Sun memories but with grown up mojitos. The food was great. I ordered the Chick's On Fire burger meal, which is HUGE. You will definitely not go home feeling unsatisfied. The chicken patty was a juicy thick thigh, no complications there in the texture and softness. It's probably bathed in buttermilk for the week I was waiting, that's how soft. The flavour and crunch from the coating wasn't all there, for me. While it was cooked to perfection, I missed out on the flavour and most of it was in the shadow of the FAT brioche bun (glazed and smooth like how I want my skin to look on Eid). There was house slaw inside the burger which I didn't notice til the last few bites, a slice of melted cheese and some jalapenos. I didn't get the spice levels which was indicated in the name. Could just be me and my desensitised taste buds. It was 👍🏾 but could be 🙌🏽 with some more seasoning and sauce. The chips were, even when cold, perfect for me. Skin on, crispy and dipped in their honey mustardy sauce, just divine. The passionfruit mojito was the highlight for me. The whole aesthetic and no compromise on flavour. Passionate from miles away. I had the same kinda reviews from my friends who tried the signature Ghostburger, who said it was good but lacked in flavour slightly and could have been a double patty for the price paid. I'd come back as I always like to give places a couple of tries before I make up my mind so next one to try will be their...

I went here on the 14/11/2021 and the experience went as follows;
The tables and walls dirty with the inside looking more like a building site that recently got the walls plastered.
Disrespectful behaviour from the staff where the food was thrown on to the table and every excuse to charge more money was thrown in our face. ( 20p for a straw, 50p for napkins and £2 per tiny sauce tubs)
poorly constructed burgers with way too much mayonnaise compared to the actual chicken that should have been in the burgers. Cold fries with the meals that you could clearly tell have been cooked a good 1 hour ahead of time. Dry chicken that felt like I was eating sand paper a poor excuse of a house sauce which consisted of watered down mustard and a pinch of chilli powder on top.
staff potentially on a weird sort of power trip? I don't know what was with the guy but when it came to the time for paying the bill, he asked if I worked for the NHS or any other services as they do offer emergency services a discount. I work for the NHS so I thought ok this is a redeeming factor and when showing my NHS ID for proof and actual ID to verify it is me the individual laughed in my face and said "my wife can get that, and she works as a nurse in a care home" then refused to give the discount. Like why mention you provide discounts and then refuse to give it when the offer is taken up?
The overall experience was a nightmare, the food was disgusting (went with 2 friends and we never waste food but we walked out with half the food still on the tray). On top the price was outrageous for the portion sizes and quality of food. I paid £55 for 3 burgers drinks and chips that was of the poor quality and lacked actual flavour.
I would never recommend anyone...
