Terrible service! Not really one to write bad reviews but feel quite strongly about this, had family visiting from the US and was proud to show off my new neighbourhood. Got in there at 9.40am, order not taken (standing at counter) until 9.50. 3 people - 1 smoothie, 1 coffee and 1 herbal tea plus eggs for 2 of us and simple toast and jam for the 3rd. Smoothie came relatively quickly but other 2 drinks were about 15 mins in. Then they brought us eggs only to realise they were for the only other table inside with people there. Luckily we didn’t touch the food as it was then taken from our table and given to them. Then we were told (25 mins after having ordered) that they’d run out of the bread our eggs were supposed to come on, choice was another at least 15 min wait or another choice of gluten free or ciabatta. Made the mistake of choosing the former. I think cardboard would have a nicer texture. Also they got my order wrong twice when bringing it over. Also randomly the toast with jam came with a savoury side salad garnish!!! They never checked in that we were happy with the food after we’d received it given all the delays. The idea of the place is nice on paper but I think they should simplify what they are trying to achieve and come up with some sort of system and perhaps stop taking so many online orders if they can’t cope. Shame as I am quite new to the area but will be going...
Read moreFor me, eating healthy and making smart food choices is a priority, especially as I’m focused on losing fat and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. That’s why I love Ginger & Mint in the East Village—it’s the perfect spot to grab a meal that’s both delicious and good for you.
My favourite is their salad bowl, which is honestly amazing. It’s packed with high protein, low carbs, and loaded with vitamins and minerals from fresh greens and vegetables.
What I really appreciate is that you can adjust the carbs if you want to, so it fits perfectly into whatever your health goals are. Plus, they switch up the bowl daily, which keeps it fresh and exciting every time I go.
The atmosphere here is super relaxing, and the staff is amazing. They take a personal interest in their customers, which makes the experience even better. And honestly, for the quality of the food, the price is fantastic, you’re getting incredible value for what you pay.
I come here daily, and usually early, it’s become one of my favourite spots in the East Village. If you’re serious about your health and looking for a great place to eat, Ginger &...
Read moreRather disappointing experience yesterday - first we tried to order some food/smoothies for collection via cafe's website. Built an order for £27, then had eight attempts to submit it to no avail, ended up phoning the place - the lady who answered the phone told us rather merrily that the website's check out doesn't work and they're actually aware of the issue. OK, the order placed over the phone and we're walking to the cafe only to get charged £35 instead of £27 that was due via website checkout. Well... what is this if not classic "bait and switch"! Lastly, the food itself was very disappointing, especially for the price. Lots and lots of cabbage, with only a couple bits of meat/fish respectively inside our wraps. I saw how owners respond to other reviews below and comment that poor reviews are "demoralizing" for them - well, on this occasion you have a very demoralized customer who won't...
