Very glad we could try before buy, but honestly would have been happy with any of the wines we tried. Ended up having a gorgeous bottle of Viognier, couldn’t believe the quality for the price, very good indeed. White Burgundy was a winner for me as well. Lovely Riesling from Mosel as well. Right up my street. Stopped for lunch, halloumi salad (partner had a wonderfully garlicky king prawn and crab linguine). Steak looked good too. Nice ambiance. Friendly service, not bad prices, and I’d say very good wines. Lots of nice details in the menu. So happy to find this place.

There are tables available upstairs and downstairs, so you can find a spot to fit your group. We would definitely recommend this pub to anyone looking for a great place to enjoy a drink and some food with friends.

We booked the lower floor of Grapeshots for an engagement party of 30 guests on a Tuesday evening. We had food from the pre-order platter menu which was served throughout the evening.

Our guests were so well cared for, the service was extremely professional and attentive and the food was wonderful.

We received lots of comments from our guests about how great the venue was.

From our own perspective the whole event was effortless which meant we could focus on spending time with our friends and we didn't have to think about a thing.

We'll certainly not hesitate to book the venue again and we'll definitely recommend to others. I know some of our guests were already thinking of how good the venue would be for events...

I went here today to have a drink with friends. Half way through my drink, the waiter (a man) came to pick up the leftovers drinks and took (by mistake I assume) my drink. I went to the bar to say that he had taken my drink and I still had half left. He asked me what I was drinking, I said “a lucky saint beer” and he started looking at the bins around him and saying there wasn’t a lucky saint there, implying I was lying. He then added : “sorry darling, you are the one that should be responsible for your drink, there’s nothing I can do”. Honestly, I’m usually a very positive person that never leaves a review but this was extremely condescending and rude.
